Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the responsive touch screen, strong performance, and lightweight design of the Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop. Positive feedback also frequently mentions the long battery life and fast SSD. However, some users note that the laptop can get warm during use and that the fan can be noisy at times. The relatively high price point is also a recurring concern for some customers.

Screen cracks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money. Spend two minutes looking at HP support forums to see all of the issues people have had with cracked screens just from opening up the laptop for daily use. Buy accident protection if you make the poor decision to make this purchase. HP support is a joke. No one wants to spend over 700 dollars to repair a screen when it wasn't even dropped after you spent close to 2k to begin with. Have never had issues with HP products in the past, but will never purchase from them again.

Two lemons in a row!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a ton of research before purchasing this machine and was satisfied that it was the best in its class. Beautiful - if it worked. Purchased with Geeksquad protection, thank God. First one became unresponsive and gave me the blue screen of death. Verdict: defective. Went back and had it replaced. Within a few days cursor on second machine went crazy and it looked like someone had taken over my machine, it was opening Cortana every second and I couldn't use it. Turns out the touchscreen was defective. All this took hours of work, reinstalling work programs, talking with Geeksquad and commuting back and forth to Bestbuy. No quarrel with Bestbuy, but really HP? 2 lemons in a row for such a high-end product? Now waiting for Apple to come out with something better.

Very disappointed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the previous version of the x360 15.6 which I loved. One reason I am so disappointed in this: 1) It has coil "chatter". This means that it has a ticking or chattering noise it makes which one can hear in quiet environments, coming mostly from the left side. It is similar to HDD chatter although there is no HDD. 2) Fan is loud and spins up constantly. 3) The CPU seems easily overwhelmed. Running x-Split, my favorite video streaming app that uses perhaps 15% of my quad core cpu laptop, easily pegs this cpu at 100% even when not streaming although I've set the graphics to run off the GPU. It's bizarre quite honestly. 4) It gets VERY hot. Unless you are planning to use this computer for the most simple office type tasks, it just won't be up to it.

Had high hopes, but got a major dud!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had high hopes for this laptop, but they went away fast. I purchased the laptop on a Friday, started it up and everything worked great. Then I restarted it and logged in (no problem), but when it logged in the screen was completely black w/ a mouse pointer. Restarted a few more times, updated drives, followed HP's instructions and it still did not work. I returned the laptop and got a new one. The same thing happened...I eventually went back and got a Lenovo Yoga w/ similar specs. I thought this was a great buy since the rating was so high, but clearly, some people forgot to write a negative review.

Webcam failure after 3 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid close to $1500 for this 2 in 1 laptop and thought I was getting top of the line. With no apparent reason my webcam stopped working after 3 months. They tried to repair it at the store but told me it had to be sent back to HP for an indeterminate time, possibly for factory reset, that I needed to back up all my data and be prepared to re-install all my programs. Last time I buy an HP.

Completely dead after less than one week of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this computer for our son for college. It had all the features he was looking for and had a good rating. He got the computer setup the way he needed for college and used it for about 4 days. He did not use it for about 3 weeks before classes started. Got him moved into the dorm and he went to use his computer and the thing was completely dead. Did all the troubleshooting on the HP website and nothing worked. Went to the IT repair department on campus, and the tech said this is the second one of these today I have seen with the same problem and about a month old. A very frustrated freshman with a useless computer.

No Luck....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went through two of these, each with varying degrees of light bleed around the edges of screen. This is likely alright for some....but I couldn't live with it. Exchanged them for a 15 MacBook Pro w/touchbar instead. Sorry HP.

HP Spectre x360 experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used HP Desktops and laptops successfully for past 25 years but my most recent experience with the HP Spectre x360 Laptop has been a frustrating lemon from the beginning and now barely 3 years old with minimum usage the battery is dead and looks like I have to buy a new battery to keep this lemon going

2 in less than a month - Both black screens
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 16 days of use, I started experiencing a black screen on startup for 20 - 30 minutes before the screen would suddenly turn on. Exchanged it, then 4 days with the new one, I experienced the exact same problem. It's apparently not unusual with this model - look it up.
