This laptop looks great, weighs less than my previous one, and is fast. I like having the numeric keypad as well as the touchscreen.

Excellent laptop with better value when purchased on sale. Such as just after Thanksgiving. Otherwise it is very expensive.

Came in a flashy box inside another box and felt like a waste of materials. Despite having all this memory, I find it still a bit slow when transferring photos. I've changed it up and started saving large files of photos to a microSD and things are running much smoother. I'm annoyed that DropBox is constantly nagging me, so I'll be turning that off soon. Also wish so many things weren't running at startup, or just running in the background in general - it's wearing down the battery pretty quickly. I've got to do all this extra work to disable things and research what's okay to turn off.

It is one sleek machine! I haven't been able to put it's through it's paces completely. But all indications say this is a beast! All the basics are very well covered an I believe when I get to the heavy lifting she'll be all over it. She's much easier for me to type on than other laptops I've had. I don't think I'll need to use the external keyboard that I've used in the past. I am nobody's graphic artist or anything like that but I like the stylus. Overall I'm just very pleased and expecting to be even more so!

Good Laptop, But Came with Glitches

All in all, I'm quite pleased with my purchase. However, initially the computer's bluetooth wouldn't recognize my bluetooth mouse, which was annoying as it only has one USB port. But somehow it managed to fix itself (magic?). Now the only remaining issue I have with it is that sometimes it only indicates a maximum battery charge of around 93%. Then again, seemingly by magic, it will correct itself and show it fully charged. Haven't run out of juice yet so this hasn't been much of a problem, but for the money I spent, I expected it to be in perfect working order.

I bought this laptop for about $1500 in April and I am still in love. It’s fast, screen is clear and bright, sound is nice and loud (very important to me since I am always watching lectures) and the touchscreen is a plus. It’s well built, sturdy, beautiful, and I love the backlit keyboard and how you can easily turn the backlight on and off, as well as the camera shutter switch, which means you don’t have to use a physical one. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made!

To be truthful I haven't opened it up and got it going. Waiting for my HP Envy dv7 to totally die. I did get a good deal on it and I did some research and I settled on this. I gave it 4*'s just because nothing is perfect and always can be improved. So I'm crossing my fingers and hoping HP put out another superior product. I don't do much more than E-mails, billing and every day stuff so I know this computer is way more than I need. So I am like any other human and buy something that is way more than what you need because we can and we feel entitled. A Good Feel Buy!

I have had this computer for less than a month and I am not really computer savvy, so I am still learning. It has a touch screen that I have not had on a laptop. When I tried flipping the screen back to try using it as a tablet and it changed over to touch screen mode, I couldn't get it switched back to the normal screen. That caused some consternation. At some point, a pop-up appeared that gave me enough time to read it and click the yes box. It had asked did I want to get out of tablet mode. I still don't know how to find that option on my own.

The good Looks good, fast, quiet, low price. Perfect screen. The bad: You cannot charge from USB-C. I bought a Anker PD charger with the PowerLine II usb 3.1 cable, but HP simple blocked the USB-C port and disallow any third party USB charger. This is not good, at least it is not indicated anywhere in the item description.

Look...I will be real. Im a Hisrory teacher whose favorite computers still run XP so I don't know anything about today's machines. ...However, I have a wife and son who both, in their own way, type Klingon in and Web Page/NewFangledComputerTechnoWizzardTypeStuff.something comes out. ....and both of THEM....ohhh....they know computers and both of them...well...They are EXTREMELY HAPPY... and if they are happy...I have peace...and everybody wins! Thanks!
