For some reason, however I had adjusted the settings, the machine would completely shut down after about 5 minutes of inactivity. I called HP three times and finally Geek Squad and it seems to be ok for now. It boots up pretty quick so it’s not too bad if it shuts down but all the open documents or apps I had open were shut down so that was really annoying.

I have had this model for less than a week, but I can say that I love the 4K screen. I needed a new laptop for my engineering needs. This model does in fact come with a pen and a laptop sleeve which isn’t stated anywhere. I do not like how the charger was of the traditional hp. I was expecting a usb-c charger, but it’s not something that hard to go without.

Really great laptop for anyone that can take care of it. Really delicate so you cant rough use it .... if you get what i mean .... the finger print sensor is something that has become better than its previous generation that had a bunch of complains of if not recognizing the fingerprint .... but this model is really great .... no complains so far .....

Very easy to setup and use. The display is awesome and it is very fast. I shopped around and found this offered everything I was looking for and the price was great. It is a great looking laptop. The Touchpad is very responsive unlike my husband's older HP. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

First HP I have ever owned. Usually it was a dell or ace. Neither one had exactly what I was looking for and hp was the closest to it. Have enjoyed using it. One failure not enough connections built in must buy additional. Would buy again used gerk squad to set it up this time

this computer is amazing and i am glad i went with my gut instinct to get it. As a graphic designer I need something with a lot of power and great resolution and this delivers on every end! i have only had this thing a day or two and im already amazed at what it can do.

First, I LOVE the Ash Silver/Rose Gold. It's very classy. The laptop is durable. I've had it for 2 years and it looks new. It has a crisp clear screen. I still haven't used it to its fullest capabilities.

I had older HP for over 8 years and now switched it to this, works perfect and it’s very fast with 16Gb RAM, it doesn’t make any extra fan noise like other laptops.the pen is very handy it also came with a leather bag.

I bought this laptop for school work and playing games. Less than a week later I had to exchange it due to it kicking me out and shutting down, I was unable to get it to turn back on after a day of trying, the bottom got extremely hot during short use and the fan was inadequate. The one I got as a replacement seems to be working a lot better so far and I would recommend it, just be cautious of defective products.

This is the same machine my wife purchased last year, to replace an old unit. I was jealous! So, I had to replace a really old unit this year and I went for the same thing. So far, all good! Best Buy folks and the Microsoft Rep were all very helpful -- thanks!

The backlit keyboard is great. The battery has a long life which I love. I probably should have rethought the keyboard, it has the numeric keypad which throws off my hand position for typing. Otherwise, so far it's a great laptop. Fast, everything set up quickly.

Only 4 stars because only 1 USB port and no SD card reader. Easy fix but have to keep up with card reader and USB hub. Fast and love facial recognition. Before you purchase, evaluate how often you use multiple external drives and read SD cards. If use of these is limited, definitely purchase this computer.

This 2 grand system with Ividia graphics launches you as fast as you push the Start play. It's also above board in starting up. I'm on line and ready to work within 15 seconds of opening my laptop. Mac has nothing on this machine except maybe a 4 grand version.

This laptop has a good HD screen but is a pain to use because some times if you barely touch the pad the screen changes on its own and other times you have to beat it for it to work. I also don't like the click function is built in and there is not a separate button. That causes a lot of problems for me

Using to work remote from home and hasn’t let me down, better than expected as I had to upgrade to this laptop after a lower model HP camera died after only 2 weeks. No issues running multiple screens and fast enough to keep up with VPN network requirements.

Love the response time. I wish there was additional usb ports. It would also be useful if the keys would slide into the computer when rotating it 360 degrees to keep from accidentally pressing keys. Other than that it's a wonderful laptop

Absolutely loving my new computer! Easy setup, boots up extremely fast, great screen size and customization of the system. I honestly purchased this laptop to replace my MacBook Pro with no regrets. Also caught the great machine on sale, which was about $500 off.

Great for work, games, shows, and drawing. I'm happy I purchased it when it was on sale! I love this Laptop.

I did a lot of reviewing before deciding on this one. I've had it for a month now and so far, so good. The options on this are great and the price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a very solid laptop for a good price.

Bought this laptop during the black Friday sale for $1099 and I just fell it's a steal. The performance of the laptop is simply amazing. The only drawback I feel is, it's little heavy due to the metal finishing, but overall the product is a killer.
