It is quite fast and quite the beast. It does get hot, but what laptop doesn't. At least this one makes sense because it's running a beast of a system in a small frame. I suggest getting a cooling fan pad to help it out. Preferably a raised grated one with module fans you can move to your liking. Usually it's powered by usb.

I’m glad I bought the 15in instead of the 13. The display is very large and the overall design is pretty slim. The vents are on the sides instead of the bottom, which prevents the laptop from overheating so quickly. The laptop also comes with its own leather case with a spot for the pen, which is charged using a USB-C charger instead of using batteries. The speakers on this are amazing, but I still need to get used to the track pad not being centered.

I am very happy with it. I was a little surprised to find that there is only 1 USB port on it though.

Nice powerful Pc, good graphics, nicely configured with lots or memory, lots of disk space, and very good cpu!

I only had the laptop for a weekend and had to return it. My deal breaker was the pen jitter - it was way too much for illustration. The device was fast, though. It got hot pretty easily when running video or adobe applications. They keyboard was too flat for my liking, the fingerprint sensor was 50/50 when it would work. App performance was good - no throttling experienced in my short time with the device. The display was ok - OLED is probably better on this. I guess for such a premium priced machine it was just okay. I would've kept it and kept trying it out for video editing and graphic design which are my primary purposes. But that pen could not draw a straight line. I wound up with a Lenovo i9 15" which I find much smoother, nicer screen, more tactile keyboard, and the pen draws accurately.

This is definitely A great computer for the money. The resolution is crystal clear and the Computer is fast.

Solid product for the price good value and great specs. Build quality good not as modern and top of the line as Dell and others in my opinion. Fan noise noticeable before even pushing the CPU. the 16x9 seems dated as does the overall design in my opinion.

This is a really nice computer and has all these great features. The only thing I can say more is that if the in built cooling system was a bit more powerful and the power management system was a bit stronger then it would not heat up so much. Beside that it is really smooth.

Great functions. The display is amazing. Money definitely best spent. HP has always been my favorite.

This is the 5th HP Spectre I have purchased. I have purchased 3 for me, 1 for my wife, and 1 for my mother. This is my first with the OLED display. What can I say. I thought the 4K display on my other Spectres were great, but this is a step above. The OLED display is worth it. This machine is not all about the display. I have zero complaints with this and my other Spectre computers.

If you are looking for a new laptop computer that is powerful and well built this, HP could fit the bill.
