I bought this laptop because I will be teaching online and wanted the ability to write legibly on student work. The pen works great and I'm able to grade my 130+ quizzes/tests each week. Love that there is a switch to turn the camera off. The sound is fabulous too. I'm still exploring the many features but so far it's everything I expected and more.

This computer is just amazing fast. Lightspeed fast. Did I mention it is fast? Highly recommended.

I've owned three laptops over time, all high quality and all HP. This laptop is a pleasure to use. It is fast and powerful. The display screen is truly stunning. The laptop itself is an absolutely elegant machine. It has a full keyboard, with a numeric pad. I love the flat black finish. The screen is a bit larger than my last laptop, but the larger screen is kinder to my eyes. This laptop is pricey, but it is truly amazing!

This system is much slower than expected - even after manually removing bloatware and/or doing a Windows reset and trying a reinstallation! Surprisingly, my daughter's new HP Envy with the identical processor performs dramatically better in the CPU section of multiple tests, even with a hotter GPU and worse cooling in the overall case design. Upon running the 3DMarks tests from Benchmarks.ul, the system typically performed in the (bottom/lowest) 10 percent of all systems tested on both the TimeSpy4k and non-4k tests - even after maximizing performance settings within both Windows 10 and the NVidia software! Very disappointing considering HP's marketing. Even the PassMarks tests (which are VERY forgiving), list it as only performing in the 41st percentile out of 100. It also performs only in the 45th to about 59th percentile of all identically equipped systems; I suspect HP has turned down the top speed of the processor (an option Intel provides to manufacturers to help them control support/warranty costs, etc.) Combine that with the legendarily awful support HP has provided both pre-sales and post-sales and I can no longer even recommend HP as a company - and that is given over a dozen calls to them in 4 months. I have spent about 6 hours on hold in those calls, have 3 times been transferred to closed departments (after hold times as long as 2 hours) and have yet to have even 1 pre-sales question or post-sales issue resolved. Their rep training and accountability seems just awful. And I've seen alot, given 23 years as an IT consultant.

Excellent visuals on screen, fast to boot up. Dual use screen like a tablet is a big PLUS
