Decent work computer.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure who this computer would be right for, the aesthetic is lovely but performance for the price could be better.

Very Disappointed!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop 7 months ago. I have had problem after problem with it. I have sent it to the HP service center twice for major issues and had other issues in between. It took a long time to get the laptop back from the service center the first time. I finally got it back and then spent hours on the phone with customer service again to try to fix new issues that were happening. It has now been sent again to be fixed for yet another issue and the first issue they "resolved" is occurring again. The HP customer service has been terrible. Save your money and headache! Do not buy this laptop!

It could be better
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It over heats like crazy so it kills the battery quick as hell.

Look elsewhere
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not good. Battery is horrible, after pulling it off a full charge the battery will drain within 2 hours. Super glitchy. Unfortunately we did not realize we’d have these issues so we will now have to sell it rather than returning it for our purchase price.

Got a use one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new laptop, got a used one. When unboxing the laptop, the screen was very dusty and filled with finger prints. Got some adhesive and scratch marks all over the edges. When I bring it back to bestbuy to return. The guy just took a quick look , didn’t even bother open up the laptop to check it out , but keep insisting it’s a seal and brand new item. Very disappointed.

Don’t waste your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t waste your money. I had it for 3 months and the SSD card went bad. Brought it get repaired, they keep it for 3 weeks just to tell me they couldn’t fix it but I was eligible replacement. Here’s the kicker, I bought the laptop during a special for $1699. It’s now $1999 so if I wanted the exact same laptop I’d have to pay an extra $300. I had to settle for a cheaper alternative. Save your money.

Filled with bloatware
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer would have been way faster if HP wouldn't have filled with bloate-ware. I returned it.

exelent, except I had to return it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On a paper it's amazing laptop, but... the screen was flickering. Couldn't fix it, couldn't go through to the support services. It wasn't visible in the bright light of the Best Buy store so the Geek Squat was helpless. :(

Reliable--but not in a good way.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent computer if you're shopping for one that will last for less than a year. Ours lost functionality in Wi-Fi, eternal monitor support and one of the two USB ports, which we patched using USB dongles to keep it usable. If like ours yours breaks badly enough during the first year, HP will replace it but you'll have to transfer all your data to the Cloud first and then reinstall all your programs and personal files. That will give you a three month warrantee on the replacement machine, which when it expires as ours did gives you no further protection from the next critical breakdown. Our HP limped along from new until that second breakdown from July 2020 to March 2022--almost 2 years! Not sure HP will be my top choice for replacing it.

Too hot for comfort or for longevity
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like this laptop, but the laptop gets extremely hot only after 15 or 20 min being on. I have other laptops that are on all day and dont get nearly as hot. Serious design flaw with inability to disperse the heat from the laptop.

Completely broke down just over 1 year
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started out great - looks nice, excellent screen, very fast. After a couple months the space key would stick occasionally causing me to interrupt my typing and fix typos which was annoying but I lived with it because I didn't have time to get it repaired. However this week first the wifi network adaptor broke, and then the next day the whole laptop completely broke down and we can't get it started at all despite troubleshooting everything. And worse part is the 1 year warranty just expired about 3 weeks ago - so I've got a $2k+ piece of junk after just over 1 year. Very disappointing, lots of problems for a laptop at this price point.

Not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not impressed. Price tag doesn't match the quality. I was able to get a faster Envy for less money. Envy also has a higher quality webcam. Only advantage to the Spectre is the 4K display.

Don't recommend this
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the short story is laptop has too many crashes and blue screens. I do not recommend this to anybody The reason why its a one star for me is because after 2 months of owning it none stop errors, I bought the geek squad plan when I got the laptop they said they couldn't do anything but they can check if I bought the total tech support. Even then after i bought that and they check it and said nothing is wrong, I showed them videos of all of the crashes and they still couldn't do anything so basically I spent $400+ on protection and they cant fix the laptop.
