Bought this laptop to use for basic laptop needs. Only issue is the overheating when I play the sims. The fans blow really hot air on the sides, I use a regular mouse, it burns the side of my hand . So if you want to play games, I recommend you purchase a cooling fan for the bottom.

I wanted a laptop with a large touch screen that had great color and resolution and this laptop delivers. Additionally, it comes with all the various ports I need and the keyboard and mouse pad are easy to adapt to after having been on a much smaller laptop for 8 years. The webcam is fine for my many Zoom meetings and the speakers have good sound quality.

Amazing machine suffers from Windows 10 issues

The machine itself is absolutely beautiful. But unfortunately I rarely use it anymore due to all the problems with Windows 10; I now use Chromebooks exclusively. Despite the beauty and power of the machine, it's main drawback is coming pre-loaded with Windows 10. Admittedly I have a somewhat complex and robust layout; Still Windows 10 fails on so many levels I cannot recommend Windows 10 at this time;
All the things I hate about windows 10:
1. Right clicking on a file or folder results in a 10-20 second delay before the context menu appears.
2. Shutting down – 3-5 minute delay before shutdown commences.
3. Windows taskbar – left-hand most icons mysteriously chopped off – only displays half the icons.
4. Search feature completely inoperable after every single windows update. Have to continuously rebuild the windows search index.
5. Inserting a micro-sd into the onboard card slot causes my computer to no longer recognize the F:/ drive, which happens to be the disk that renders the taskbar, desktop shortcuts, and all the launch programs/websites in the start-up menu.
6. No matter what I do, I cannot get Chrome to open in other than a small collapsed window. Changing chrome launcher to “open maximized” has no effect, and chrome does not remember previous settings when manually resizing the window.
7. Most recent update disabled my HDMI port which connects to 2 external monitors.

Excellent laptop, only downside is the geometric design. I have damaged so many table tops with those razor blades for corners. Upside is, if I ever get trapped in a vehicle, I can easily use it to break a car window. In the meantime, I am going to try cushion tape on the corners. Case/cover users have reported overheating.

It is easy to use, has finger print scanner entry, runs quickly. I use this laptop for work and I am able to move fluidly through programs and have multiple pages open at one time. I like that I can turn off my camera when I don’t need it. I have had it for over 7 months and this computer is great on battery as well.

Love my new laptop. Moved from the Chinese owned Lenovo Yoga to the American HP. This computer looks great and feels very solid. Performance and battery life is great. Not a single issue so far. I do wish the stylus was built in like the Yoga but not a big deal.

This is my 2nd laptop purchasing after returning a Dell one. It is the perfect size and works amazing! I have yet to have problems with it. You have a lot of updates in the beginning but if you choose to delay them it won't cause any issues. It only has one USB so I bought the external to be able to connect more usb's. I would recommend it.

Great laptop for distance teaching students

Extremely nice laptop! My wife is a teacher and she needed a new laptop for distance teaching/learning for her students. Choices for a new laptop were very few at the best buy location and this one was one of the very few available and pretty expensive. So I really had no chouce but to purchase this one to replace her older laptop. It has the I-7 proccessor for super fast proccessing and plenty of memory to run multiple applications to teach her students throughout the day. So, even though this laptop was pretty expensive, it was worth it. My wife loves it and says it really makes a huge difference from her older laptop in distance teaching her students and it does everything she needs it to do and more. She especially loves the rose color of it.

I had the 2017 model for a good 2 years. It was an almost a perfect laptop, but it had finicky touchpad. But I had an external mouse, so it was not a big deal.
Anyway, fast forward to 05.22.20, bought the 15 inches, 512 gb. Webcam has a green tin against bright light and it's very pixelated. Also, the screen in general has a yellow hue, almost as it had a night light turned on, but no it didn't. It also gets very hot.
Spent an hour with HP tech to try to fix the problem with the webcam and the tech support suggested to exchange it with another one after failing to update the driver and look into it, I bought it at 11 AM, returned it at 4 PM and exchange it for the same model, really hoping it was just a defect. But nope, the second one also has the same issue.
Annoying!
The diamond cut is beautiful though and the keyboard is better than the old 2017 model, also the trackpad is much much better.
Ah the pen is also a lot more responsive, writing feels more natural.

We zeroed down on this laptop after quite a research. We were looking for a particular config of i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB+ SSD HDD, touchscreen. The overall look & feel of HP Spectre x360 2in1 laptop is quite good.. My wife enjoys working on this laptop. However, the speed & the time to download regular websites is still not as expected.. Doesnt seem to network issue as the same websites download pretty fast on other laptop.

I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger. I bought the same computer a month earlier, directly from HP, for hundreds of dollars more. This computer not only has the performance I was looking for, but is super beautiful, classy, and sexy as HELLo!!

Love this laptop! I do not use it everyday but so far completely in love! Screen is huge and has amazing graphics. The laptop is so fast at loading, never have lag. Fan is very quiet unlike some other reviews. Once in a while it'll kick up speed and you can hear it but only for about a minute. I have no complaints thus far.

Computer is sleek and quick to respond. Picture is sharp with bright colors. Just used as a laptop and not a movie platform but it meets my expectations very well. Do not care for touch screen feature myself but can appreciate the capability for those who like that.

Very pleased with the new laptop. The step by step setup made it easy to understand. Computer runs with good speed, of course my previous laptop was old. I stayed with HP after a good experience. I haven't begun to use all of the HP's capabilities. I will learn as I go. I do appreciate having the USB and HDMI ports.
