I wanted to love this PC but I can't! It has flaws that cannot be ignored. I got it for school in August 2020 or 8 months ago for school. While the specs are good, the functionality is HORRIBLE! From day 1 the computer didn’t work well! FROM DAY 1! Let that sink in for a second! 1. The audio and mic are terrible quality! The audio/mic keeps going in and out. I cannot go through a single zoom session without one or the other and sometimes both failing in the middle of the class. I would literally be talking to a professor and the audio/mic would go out, sometimes mid-sentence. Just like that! And I'd be left hanging without an answer, having to scramble and type in chat for the professor to please excuse me, my audio failed! How embarrassing, how frustrating, but more importantly - how disappointing that for having paid almost $2000 ($1700+taxes) I am getting such crap that can't even work for a few hours! I have addressed this issue with the HP support on several occasions, have escalated this issue to a higher level of support - nothing! No one could figure out why it was happening, no one could figure out how to fix it. One time I was on the phone with them for 5 hours! Yes, you heard that right - for FIVE HOURS! That's FIVE HOURS of my life wasted because obviously, these people had no idea what they were doing! And so after FIVE HOURS still, no one was able to fix the issue or even determine what was causing the audio/mic to fail. That also shows HP support in a negative light - 5 hours, 3 different support "specialists", a supervising support "specialist" and no one knew what the issue was? BTW I put "specialist" in quotation marks for a reason. 2. The curser jumps constantly and unpredictably! I would be typing something and suddenly I'd find that the curser has jumped to some other part of the document without any indication or me doing anything. All by itself. So I have to interrupt my work and return the cursor back to where it's supposed to be. Again, spent 4 hours on the phone with 3 different people ("specialists") from HP support and no one knew why or how to fix it. Seriously??? These are not just minor glitches. They impede work, they are DETRIMENTAL to progress, they sometimes make me do double work - that is just UNACCEPTABLE!!!! UNACCEPTABLE! For the price of this computer, I could have and SHOULD have bought a MAC!!!!! My mistake! Yes, its appearance is very nice, but who cares about what it looks like if it can't work properly. Appearance is the least attribute to consider when buying a laptop, especially one that is supposedly technologically advanced! DO NOT BUY!

Its been efficient for what we’ve needed it to do. Screen quality is good.

I love this laptop! The only thing I wish was different was it having a larger screen.

Overall the laptop has worked great. However, last week it didn't want to boot. OS is not seeing the SSD. I get "Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected" after running chkdsk. Ran diskpart but still no luck. So frustrating.

I got this laptop during the Black Friday sale. What attracted me to purchase this model was the 15" 4K screen and the included digital pen. I was, however, disappointed with it. The 4K screen didn't look all that impressive. Colors looked dull and the screen seemed quite dim for a laptop model that was marketed as "premium". I think there's a more expensive OLED version of this laptop that's better. The laptop also seemed thick and chunky, and I wasn't digging the copper accents, which looked more like pink/rose gold to me. What drove me to return this product though, was the horrible pen experience. You'd think since they bundled a nice tilt pen with the unit, it'd be good. But it was bad. Really bad. I could not draw straight diagonal lines with the pen; the lines came out jittery. When I googled it, I discovered this was a known problem with the HP Spectre. Don't buy this if you intend to use this laptop for drawing.

Great computer but the webcam is very grainy. It is advertised as 1080, but doesn't seem to be.
