Photoshop doesn't work on this laptop

I really wanted to like this laptop. To be fair, it works great most of the time, but it absolutely will not run Photoshop. I tried every form of troubleshooting, and nothing could make it work. It would always crash within 5 minutes of opening. I looked up the issue, and apparently I am not the only one this happened to. As a digital artist, this is a deal breaker and I have to return the laptop. I've been using Photoshop for years on my older Dell with no issues.

WHY PAY SAME PRICE FOR HALF THE PRODUCT!?!?

So I’m not saying that this is a bad laptop in any manner as I have no clue. I never even opened the box before I returned in store for an exchange..... I ended up getting HP SPECTRE x360 15-EB0053DX which has: 15.6” 4K UHD TOUCH OLED 400nits screen, Intel Core i7-10705H 16GB Memory, GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, 1TB SSD with 32Gb Intel OPTANE.... FOR $100 cheaper than this setup! So my words of advice or take your time to make sure THERE ISNT A BETTER SALE PRICE ANYWHERE BEFORE PURCHASING!!!! I mean I wasn’t even told by salesperson that this laptop HAD BETTER FEATURES AVAILABLE after saying “I don’t have a budget rather just wanted something I like.”

I’ve had this computer for not even 3 months and it has suddenly stopped working saying that the hard drive doesn’t exist. This is absolutely a joke. 0/10 would recommend. Do not waste your money.

    ...terrible shipping?

I had to return the item when it was originally delivered because it was damaged (re: bent in half) from being improperly packed. By improperly packed I mean not packed at all, they just shipped the laptop in the box it was packaged in with absolutely no protection, or fragile marking- nothing. I got my computer eventually, but seriously for a company that sells a lot of these it seems like bad business to carelessly handle expensive electronics. What a needless waste. Not impressed.

I am finding overall satisfaction in my purchasing the Spectre X360 to accomplish many daily tasks and entertainment needs and desires. My UHD 4K screen is beautiful in its displaying my iTunes digital data. With its very fast processors and 3.0 USB ports I can transfer data extremely fast. With WiFi-6 I get extremely fast data streams. I could go on but I hope the reader of my review finds it helpful. Final thought is Bluetooth connectivity with my HP OfficeJet 9015e printer is great.

Do not buy. Great design. Software and system issues. Bought brand new from the store. Crashed 14 times in two days. Advertised by staff to work well with Adobe. Bought specifically for photo and video editing. Program freezes after a couple minutes. HP, Microsoft, NVIDIA are all aware of problem for at least the last year but I was still allowed to purchase this. Even after troubleshooting continues to crash. Conflict with graphics card. Unfixable.

Great PC. Just wish Geek Squad had checked the USB-C Thunderbolt input before clearing this laptop. It will not charge properly through the USB-C port that it's supposed to be able to. And because I did not buy a USB-C Power delivery unit for charging this laptop until the 15th, I am unable to return this laptop because of Best Buy's 15-day return policy. So that sucks.

This laptop seems to have some kind of malfunction with the plug in to charge. I spent over 2k on the laptop, I needed only for when I travel, so I hardly use it. Ended up having to take it GeekSquad to get the charger port fixed. Go to use this laptop and the chargerport still doesn't work.

    Fine but with crackly speakers

I have this computer and it's nice but the speakers are absolute trash garbage. Both very thin and weak and also VERY crackly. Pretty much UNLISTENABLE. All of these computers are so expensive and I'm sorry you DON'T ever get what you pay for. I bought this because Apple screwed me over. Such a bummer.

One of the cooling fan stopped working and the lap top has an error message that both fans are not working. Spent a good amount of money and after only two years the lap is breaking down. It’s not worth the money.

It only lasted 1 year and 2 months. It’s dead. I take very good care of it and it won’t turn in. I need a new one ASAP as I work from home and completely depend on it. I guess I’ll convert to Apple.

I bought the laptop November 27, picked it up on the 28. since I took it out of box I've had nothing but issues out of it. I've already had to send it to HP to be fixed. It would be a really good computer if it didn't crash everytime I try to use certain programs.

    So amazingly good so far

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The design and the screen are awesome. The whole laptop is handy and extremely good looking. The included pressure-sensitive pen (rechargeable!) is a really great thing, that was my dream to draw on such a good screen with a such a good pen. The only annoying thing with this laptop is the keyboard layout: they made up/down arrows key small, that makes them unusable, I always hit Shift key instead of "up arrow". This is an unwise common trend nowadays, alas. You may consider to purchase a wireless keyboard with normal keys in addition. Another point is the laptop has only 1 USB standard port (though it has 2 more USB-C). I still have a number of devices pluggable via the old-type USB.
