The touchscreen is really sensitive and the battery goes dead after unplugging the device.

I could not work my laptop. it was locked with somebody elses password. i had to call HP tech support and have them mail me a reboot .

It comes with a gift card yeah but no code so can't use it and computer keeps virus the virus don't start till your 14 day return is over

the processor was very slow, and although connected to wifi, surfed the web extremely slow, so i returned it for another laptop

This laptop is by far one of the best laptops under $300. I have 3 of these laptops in my current household two of them are the non touch version. The one I use has the touch screen and as it is a little bit heavier the black bezel makes it look a bit more classy. I would highly recommend this laptop to any college student for the versatility of it. It runs web apps great, also runs all the office apps great too, and it comes with a one year office 360 subscription! This is a well designed well put together laptop and I highly recommend it if you get it as a child's first laptop too, or if you yourself need a computer to just go on the web, video chat, or type up documents. If you don't need it for heavy gaming or anything of that nature this is a perfect computer. Well I do not recommend buying this computer strictly for video editing Vegas Pro 13 64 bit works in a pinch on it, it will not be the fastest editing experience, it will do it, mind you, everything else has to be closed and exited in order to even run that. But that's a heavy program for such a cheap computer. So if you need a basic computer with a little touch fanciness and the ability to do anything I mentioned this is the perfect fit!

Very light weight and thin laptop. Keyboard touch pad is very nice. Touchscreen is very responsive. Celeron processor is good enough for light web surfing. Only disadvantage is less hard disk memory. If you upgrade to windows 10 you will have only 1 GB left in your Hard disk. If you keep running preinstalled windows 8.1 than you can have 9GB in your hard disk. You will have to do continuous exercise to move your data to external HD or micro SD.
