    SLOOOOWEST computer I've ever used

It really never worked. Maybe my fault because I tried to look for something inexpensive for my daughter and not knowing much about computers I guess it wasn't enough memory? It was EXTREMELY slow from the first day I started it up. It took forever to do anything. Even just to open the browser. I really should have contacted best buy and returned it or maybe it was defective, but just never did. Didn't even use it really. It's just been sitting there for two years :(

It’s operational but it’s a very slow computer and the memory runs out quick and interferes in further with the computer. Good for very basic needs only.

HP should stand for Have Patience.

It is what it is. You want a top of the line machine, then you spend top of the line money. You want a machine that frequently gives you a feeling of regret, you pay frequent regret money. This HP is thin, and that’s about all of the positive Incan muster. The truth is, it’s probably thin because there is nothing of any real relevance inside of it. I picture a team of trained fleas running on a treadmill to gain the momentum required to start it up every time I press the on button. I made the mistake of trying to erase and reset Windows once, I was able to go shopping with the family, see a movie, have dinner, and a late night snack before it finally presented itself as finished. HP should stand for Have Patience. So buy this if you want to be constantly angry with yourself and occasionally do some light computing functions. Or maybe purchase this for someone that you aren’t very fond of. Just remember those Snickers commercials every time you attempt a mildly memory intensive function.....”Not Going Anywhere For Awhile?...grab a snickers!....except maybe grab more than one, and a drink, and a long novel, War and Peace is my suggestion.

    Extremely slow!!

Absolutely would not recommend for anyone looking to do online class and school work simultaneously. My video constantly freezes and I can’t pull up a website for class while being on my video meeting at the same time. If my boyfriend is using his laptop at the same time I’m using mine my computer is extremely slow and takes several minutes to load a page. If I’m just surfing or doing homework it is ok but it’s difficult to video call while doing anything else. Overall it is ok for the price but I wouldn’t recommend for online classes.

    Great Mid-aged Chromebook!

I got this on Super sale and it was a great Chromebook. This is a great machine for light internet browsing and light usage. It has a nice sized screen, and decent audio for an entry level device. The end of life on this chip is not tomorrow, but the lifespan on this chip is not as long as one rolled out this year. As with all Chromebooks, be sure to check the end of life date when you buy!

    Stay away

If you like spending money on things that don't work, then this is the laptop for you. Now if you want a laptop that doesnt update every week and after the first couple of updates you need an external hard drive in order to keep doing the weekly updates, this one isn't for you. Very little memory (the constant need to update windows may play a roll in that), slow, constantly needing to do a forced restart because it just stops working. I've been having problems with mine ever since I bought it. I almost turn it into a large tablet everytime I use it. That's how frustrating this pos is to use. I did an update and two days later, it had another one. For your own sanity, DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!!

Sure its cool looking, but it is super slow and Windows S Mode is a joke. If you switch to Windows Home edition nothing works properly. Also there isn't that much space to begin with, but the system comes with more than half of the C drive full. It didn't recognize me as an administrator as well. It was a horrible experience! Best Buy wouldn't take it back because it was passed 15 days, so I literally took a hammer to it and it felt AMAZING. I hate wasting money, but I learned a valuable lesson. I did go back to Best Buy and get a new laptop with an actual hard drive and its awesome!

Returning tomorrow! Worst HP I've ever owned.

The only reason I bought this was because my other HP laptop quit on me after 2 1/2 years. I bought this today, about 3 hours ago. I turned the computer on, and immediately got a black screen saying there was a CMOS Checksum error and to reboot. So I reboot, it takes me through set-up and then shuts off. So I restart, again, and I can click on the internet. I set up my outlook email, and BAM, it shuts down on me. Again. So I restart, yet again, and after putting in my password it takes me to a black screen, for 5 minutes, before bringing up the home page. I clicked on the internet and guess what, another 2-3 minutes to load the page. Will be returning as soon as I get off work tomorrow.

This summer, i found out all my classes were being switched to online. So of course i needed a laptop. I got this one because it was within my budget, and it seemed like it would be perfect since i only needed it for school. It worked for a couple weeks, but has since started crashing during all my classes and other video calls. I thought it was a wifi problem, but every other device in my house was fine. I usually don’t even need my camera or microphone on for classes, so when i do, it’s even more unstable. Don’t waste your time or money on this. It would be better to drop a bit more cash on something more reliable
