The pc wasn’t working perfectly
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this computer from day one it had issues. I still have it because I need it for school. And since my school is far away I never had a chance to return it. Now I am scared to buy computer from them.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gift to my sister. Very cute on the outside but after a week it crashed on her. I saw the reviews and they sounded decent but I guess not.

Great laptop for a 7 year old Girl Scout's award
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The color was very eye appealing to the 7 year old that this was awarded to. I think that she will be able to use this for many years to come.

It's what's on the inside that counts
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very nice in color and it's lightweight to take to class. My school work requires internet and it connects very fast. The battery is pretty good. My issues are, however, it tends to be glitchy. Sometimes the taskbar/OS freezes up so if I were to be turning it off for the day, I can't access the shut down option or Cortana so I'd have to hold down the power button. Another glitch is that when I'm charging it and using it, for some reason when it reached 60%-70%, the laptop completely overheats and freezes (which is really frustrating if I'm working on something) so I would recommend charging only when it's in sleep mode or off. Finally, my biggest issue is the lack of memory. I barely have anything personal on this laptop saved (pictures, documents etc) and when it was asking me to update Windows, I couldn't because there's not enough space. I tried to make space, but most of the stuff that is taking space are things that already came with the system and cannot be deleted so I am constantly being harassed with the update notification. In a nutshell, it's pretty to look at and carry around, but it can be pretty useless.

Great, Cheap Laptop for Students/Everyday PC User
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a university student and this laptop has been everything I could've hoped for at this price. The laptop is quick and responsive and I've never had performance issues (owned a little over a year now). This laptop is NOT great for gaming and photo/video editing. Hence the price. I was surprised by just how thin and lightweight it is. Has a cool, sleek design. It's very easy to throw in your backpack, doesn't take up much space. Bottom line, this laptop gets the job done. If you are looking for a laptop that does a lot more then you're gonna be paying a lot more. (wrote review on this laptop)

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommend if your a college student. Excel, word, PowerPoint and more for school is easy to download. Most colleges pay for Windows download just ask. I take paralegal studies and was able to download prodoc. Doesn't have enough space for all the downloads needed for school. I did have to buy a flash drive but so far so good. Flash drive bought at Wal-Mart and was very cheap. Love it.

No backlit keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a cool laptop but in the description it said that it had a backlit keyboard (one of the things I was looking for in a laptop) and it does not have it after I already bought it... That's what I get for buying online. Just a heads up on people who are looking for that feature.. This computer does NOT have a backlit keyboard.

Junk even for $200
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is absolute junk. I bought 2 of them for my kids. They are very light users and only access the internet for school and movies etc. One the battery dies after 6 months and the other the mother board went bad within 9 months. Bestbuy Replaced the one with the mother board issues. The one with the battery issue I just purchased a new one online for $50 as HP was too difficult to deal with. BEFORE YOU BUY any HP product do this; go online and try to find a live person to help on their website. They do everything in their power to never help the customer. Now google support number and call. If you tell them you own a laptop the auto system will direct you back to the website. If you hold a bit longer you will be told an agent will assist you. Now the agent is going to have a heavy accent and ask for a lot of serial numbers etc. These will not be easy unless you have a magnifying glass as they are printed in dark ink on a dark computer in size 3 font. Look for yourself at the laptop before you buy. Now if you give them the number they go off the manufacture date for the warranty unless you want to wait and email them the receipt and wait for a call that never comes. I have owned about 20 HP products and in the end they all fail very very early. I may be slow but I have learned my lesson with HP. Cheap products and no support.

Not worth the money...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is NOT what i thought it was. It only has 32gb of storage, wouldnt have paid over $200 for this, if i would have known, that it wasn't even storage for me. And after i downloaded malware and virus protection and it did 2 windows updates, it WAS FULL. AND NO MORE UPDATES ALLOWED. If i could have given it NO stars, i would have. And then to top it off...to factory restore it? YOU can't because once again, there's NOT enough space, to even do that. Now with that being said, if you are a student or starter computer for a kid, this would be great. You can disable the windows updates and uninstall some things. Great. But NOT for me...

Not Functional
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop does not have an adequate HD and it is apparently not capable of being replaced. The 32 GB drive is not large enough to even update Microsoft Windows 10. This means that when the windows updates released, you will get an error saying that there is not enough disk space to download the updates. It is a shame that HP would release a laptop with such limited functionality. My mother in law bought this and asked for help with the error. This is when I discovered this problem.

Does NOT have backlit keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a search for a basic laptop. The only critical feature option was that it must have a backlit keyboard. This laptop came up in the search, had good ratings and good price. Done deal right? Wrong, got it out of the box, charged it, started setup. Guess what, does NOT have backlit keyboard as advertised. Brought this to the attention of Customer Service, they dont care. They could only advise to bring it back. So bringing it back and shopping elsewhere

Not what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop with the purpose of using the basic stuff like office, spend an average time on the internet and every once in a while watch a movie on Netflix. This is a cheap laptop but I thought it would work just fine for me. Turns out it freezes very often, sometimes it works perfectly fine, but sometimes it freezes and that shouldn't be happening since it's a brand new laptop... Not what I expected.
