Got this little baby on black friday sale as a gift to myself. It runs great, no issues with fps when gaming, excellent for browsing and streaming as well. Sleek design and the look alone make it a high quality device.

This laptop has been amazing so far. It runs fast, plays games smoothly, and the 144Hz screen looks really good. The fans can get a little loud and the battery isn’t amazing, but that’s normal for a gaming laptop.

Works well, fan is alittle loud but manageable. I always keep it plugged in so the battery doesnt die out and runs games smoothly. I did notice some slight lag but its probably because im using too much ram

This laptop is TOP OF THE LINE!! My husband can’t believe all this laptop provides for the price! Amazing graphics card, ultra fast processor, built sturdy and durable and the cooling fan is so powerful!!

This laptop is awesome, the 15” version can fit in any backpack really well. The 4050 is very capable compared to its older predecessor with its additional VRAM. I can run Cyberpunk, Rust, and other coding IDE’s. It’s usb-c port can plug into a docking station and support video output as well as other peripherals but it will still require an external charger.
The battery is pretty decent when you have minimal applications running in the background(3-4hr), this did require to some extent removing bloatware but overall very fast.
I wish this laptop had a camera privacy slider like other models.
Would buy again if on sale.

If you are starting and serious about music production and need a machine that won't bottleneck your creativity; is worth every penny. It has significantly improved my mobile workflow and I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this laptop. Very fast processor for the most part. The 4050 is a pretty good GPU. I got it on sale for 550$. I don't think there was a better deal out. Highly recommend for the Ryzen 7 alone

I really like this for portable gaming. I had to play around with the settings a bit, but I can still get around 100 fps if I am playing in 1080p. And with playing on a 15" screen 1080p is just fine with me. For the price I feel like this is a much better option then a ROG Ally or SteamDeck for on the go gaming.

I recently got the HP Victus 15.6″ laptop, and overall it’s one of the best value-for-money gaming laptops I’ve used in this price range. It’s clearly aimed at budget-to-midrange gamers and creators who want solid performance without spending a premium.
Design & Build
The Victus 15.6″ has a simple, clean design that doesn’t scream “gaming” too loudly — ideal if you want something that works for both work and play. The build is mostly plastic, which keeps the weight down but doesn’t feel quite as premium as pricier laptops.
Display
The 15.6″ Full HD 144Hz display is one of the laptop’s highlights — the high refresh rate makes games feel much smoother compared to standard 60 Hz panels. Color brightness and gamut aren’t class-leading, but they’re good enough for casual gaming and media.
Performance
Performance depends a lot on the specific configuration you choose (CPU/GPU/RAM):
With an RTX 4050 and a modern CPU, the Victus handles 1080p gaming well, hitting smooth frame rates in many popular titles.
Multitasking and creative work like video editing or graphic design are also quite snappy, especially with 16 GB or more RAM.
Be aware that 8 GB of RAM is often a bottleneck, so upgrading to 16 GB (or more) is worth considering if you want a smoother experience overall.
Battery life leans toward the short side, especially under gaming load. Don’t count on long unplugged sessions if you’re doing heavy work or play.
hat I Like
Excellent price–performance balance for gaming and everyday use.
144Hz display feels noticeably smoother.
Upgrade-friendly design (RAM & storage).
Good port selection.
Verdict: If you want a budget-friendly gaming laptop that handles modern games and everyday tasks with ease — and you’re prepared to upgrade the RAM for the best experience — the HP Victus 15.6″ offers very strong value for the money.

Bought this computer to play games such as Balder's Gate 3 w/ mods and Avatar: frontiers of pandora, and it has worked perfectly. I can stream in Discord while playing with no issues. Mic and camera are crisp in Internet calls. Like many gaming laptops, it heats up a bit when being used but nothing that can injure you or the machine. So far I have no complaints.

The laptop was purchased as a "good quality". An to my surprise it was probably just the abundance of finger prints. I can run World of Warcraft on medium graphics on hotel wifi pretty reliably. Battey life is the only reason I didnt give it a 5. All else. I am very happy.

Overall great laptop weather it’s for gaming or just work. I was scared at first reading all the reviews in the battery life but just running off normal settings this laptop will last you 3-4 hours. Great for games that are not top notch and perfect for my school assignments especially with my programming. Great budget laptop!
