I bought this laptop for my son to do his college schoolwork and for playing Minecraft with his friends online. It does both very well! He's super happy with it. He said the battery life is like 2 hours, but he doesn't take it to school so it's pretty much always just plugged in. It charges quickly when he needs to charge it. There are only a few small things. He had to change some deep settings in the BIOS to use the volume buttons as marked. He's also had a few issues with the Bluetooth, but he and I need to look at that together before I can confirm this is actually a problem.

If you wait long enough between hardware updates, the improvements are very impressive. This machine replaces an i7-8550U 1.8GHz machine with 16 GB (upgraded from original 8 GB) and integrated graphics. This laptop is quite peppy in contrast. Thus far I have not had any performance issues with this laptop. Keyboard is acceptable, display colors are good. Battery life is slightly lower than the machine it replaces (which has a new battery installed replacing the original swollen pillow battery). I attribute this to the graphics. My original shopping list included 1 TB SSD, but I accepted the 0.5 TB in this unit as sufficient. Recommended when on sale.

Got this for my son. Mostly plays Minecraft, Roblox, and some Steam titles. As a joke we loaded Hogwarts Legacy and I was surprised how well it ran. Left auto detect settings on and it’s running on medium settings at 100 to 120 FPS. Very happy with it. The only gripe is build quality. Not a very rigid or hardened chassis, but for the price just be careful and it should be alright. Surprised how well the battery life is. And it’s cool. Much cooler than other gaming laptops. Not hot to the touch and no noisy fans while gaming.

It is an nice design. It can run games well as well are several tabs at the same time

I bought this on-sale because I'd been using GeForce Now as my gaming platform. My old Staples desktop just couldn't handle games even 10 years old at times. GFN was a good compromise until now. This laptop gives me almost as good of an experience as GFN. Great processor and GPU. Smooth, quiet. Just wish the battery was a little better when gaming and not plugged in

The performance since i got is spectacular it runs basically anything once u configured it to your liking. The spped is good and it easily fit in my bag for school.

This is hands on one of the best gaming laptops I could have ever asked for, I got it on a discount and this thing runs like a cheetah, it’s fast and it’s effective, it works wonders for either performance gaming and quality gaming, anything you could ask for, it gives you the best experience imaginable, yes, it is not a nasa pc, but it’s legit one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had, and the laptop is so easy to carry around that I sometimes even forget I have it in my backpack, 10/10 love it

This thing is great! Its nice to be able to take my gaming anywhere. The price was awesome too. The display is even better than what im using with my desktop machine. Im very happy with my purchase.

I've only been using the laptop for a short time; it's fast and sharp. As for the battery, I haven't used it without it being unplugged, but for me it works at 100%.

I recently bought the HP Victus laptop, and I’m really happy with it so far. It offers great performance for the price and works well for both gaming and everyday use. The display looks good, the keyboard is comfortable, and the battery life is decent for a gaming laptop. Overall, it’s great value for money and I’d definitely recommend it.

Its a good laptop. It's been over a month now, general use feels good. The screen looks crisp clear and bright. Full volume is a bit lesser than my previous dell inspiron laptop. I have tried 3 games in it so far: AC Origins, Days Gone and Clair Obscur Expedition 33. It has been able to run them all properly. Hasn't heated much. It has been good for coding in android simulators too which used to take forever in my old laptop.

Great laptop only problem is the battery and it needs to stay plugged in while gaming for performance otherwise very clean design and think and portable

Very good laptop for beginning gamers! My sister and I have recently been wanted to start our gaming journey and this laptop seemed to be an excellent fit! While researching into this laptop, I talked with Geek Squad who helped me understand more about what this laptop can give me! They were helpful, patient, and explained things in an easy to understand way. This laptop is good for beginners with its 16 GB RAM. While I recommend not playing a bunch of AAA games, it has been able to handle an AAA game and some other lower games with ease (with settings set to low). I may end up purchasing a cooling pad or updating the RAM to 32 GB but as of now the laptop works fine when playing for around a 2-3 hour range (the time I usually play for). I set the fans to max (on the OMEN Gaming Hub app) to help keep it from becoming too hot. It gets hot when playing the AAA game for around that time range above so I like to keep the fans on max. Though I’m not sure if this is the best solution long term so a cooling pad may be a better option if you have one or the money for one. The battery is pretty good. I usually keep it plugged in where I sit to game so I haven’t tried it out for long periods of time but it seems to be pretty good all things considered. The display can get a bit laggy when playing the AAA game for a long period of time but really nothing to worry about. It will just freeze for like a millisecond then be fine. No issues so far! All and all this laptop is incredible! Very fast, very smooth, nothing to complain about so far! Thank you Best Buy for helping me out and to help me make my sister and I have a great first gaming experience!

I’m satisfied with this laptop overall. It performs well for daily tasks, has a smooth and fast response, and the screen quality is clear and comfortable for long use. The design is sleek and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. Battery life is decent and meets my needs. For the price, it’s a good value and I would recommend it.

No issues after 30 + days, screen display can be somewhat dim, but the build in calibration tool can help that improve to one's liking. I have yet to attach an acceptable external display intended for this device, so i can not assess that part yet (may update later). Battery drain depends on what you are using and the current settings. Still, good functionality and a budget friendly device.

so It has a killer refresh rate. AMD Ryzen 7 chip. Triple the speed of the Pentium. It's not just the chip. It has a PCI bus. But... you knew that. Indeed. RISC architecture is going to change everything. Yeah. RISC is good. but AMD is better. Amazing entry and perfect for my 12yr old who wanted to move from console to pc gaming. she's looking to become the next acid burn.
