I recently got the HP Victus 15.6″ laptop, and overall it’s one of the best value-for-money gaming laptops I’ve used in this price range. It’s clearly aimed at budget-to-midrange gamers and creators who want solid performance without spending a premium. Design & Build The Victus 15.6″ has a simple, clean design that doesn’t scream “gaming” too loudly — ideal if you want something that works for both work and play. The build is mostly plastic, which keeps the weight down but doesn’t feel quite as premium as pricier laptops. Display The 15.6″ Full HD 144Hz display is one of the laptop’s highlights — the high refresh rate makes games feel much smoother compared to standard 60 Hz panels. Color brightness and gamut aren’t class-leading, but they’re good enough for casual gaming and media. Performance Performance depends a lot on the specific configuration you choose (CPU/GPU/RAM): With an RTX 4050 and a modern CPU, the Victus handles 1080p gaming well, hitting smooth frame rates in many popular titles. Multitasking and creative work like video editing or graphic design are also quite snappy, especially with 16 GB or more RAM. Be aware that 8 GB of RAM is often a bottleneck, so upgrading to 16 GB (or more) is worth considering if you want a smoother experience overall. I bought this laptop for $699 compared to the other HP victus 15 this one is a MUCH better choice. The battery life is good when doing regular tasks. It drains a tad fast while gaming but for more intense games I keep it plugged in. So far the games ive been playing on it have held up great!

Super nice laptop. Great LCD and very fast. I with they would make a gaming laptop that was touchscreen, its my only complaint.

I love it I get to play my game the only down side is that my game drains my battery but it’s the game it’s self but other wise it’s great

I've been using this laptop for the past two months for my school and honestly the battery life has been perfect for me. I've been using the laptop with the display at 144hz and within 3 hours of basic chrome usage the laptop battery only goes down by 40% which is just fine for my needs. I've also done a bit of gaming on the laptop the main games being Minecraft and Fortnite and both run perfectly on this laptop. I would recommend buying this laptop 100%

For my first gaming laptop I’m go ahead and say I’m impressed even under heavy gaming session you can’t even hear the fans it handles my favorite titles with ease if your looking for a gaming laptop and happen to see this one on sale

Great rig for the price! Feels solid, runs quiet, has not had any issues. Runs SIMS, Inzoi, etc with ease. Basic computing good too on it of course

Capable for daily tasks and gaming at not maximum settings. Perfect mobile gaming solution away from your main set up. A bit heavy and only 1080p but great for the price and screen responsiveness.

Honestly, it's great. The only issue I've had is the battery life but that's to be expected from a gaming laptop. It runs everything I've played on it well. I bought it in July, it's now November and i can say I'm glad i bought it.

I got this laptop about a month ago, and it is good. It has a nice refresh rate, good CPU. It's able to run high end games on medium to low graphics of course. The GPU isn't the greatest.

It runs games really well. I haven't played a game where i couldn't run it on high graphics and still get good frames. The battery life is alright when on battery but not the best. Everything else is great though really a good laptop.

Great computer for casual gamers. I use it for gaming on the go and workbook computation. Good for the price point. The only thing that I would want is the keys to light up. When you play games, the battery drains.

This is a nice laptop for those that don't need super high intense graphics. The Ryzen 7 processor with 16 gigs of RAM makes the computer come along pretty fast. The difference between this and the HP Omen is that there is more space inside the Victus for air flow out of the laptop. For the everyday casual user casual gamer which is a really decent computer.

It’s a great laptop. Can run everything perfectly. The SSD is swappable so I swapped it for a 1TB SSD. There’s also an expansion slot for more RAM to boost performance. As for the performance now, with the GPU, CPU, and stock RAM, it can run every game my desktop can. It’s impressive such a small form factor can do that. Only downside is that due to that performance, the battery takes a hit. As a student, this can be a huge negative, but it should last through at most two classes. If you have an exam coming up, bring your charger. That being said, I’m quite happy with my purchase and I’m sure you will be too!

It does everything I require of it and it can run every game I want, schoolwork, video editing, and streaming. My only complaint is that the charger is underpowered.

My only major complaint with this laptop is the battery life is GOD AWFUL. But it runs games really well, has overall great performance speed, and it’s graphics is also pretty solid. I also use this for class and it’s a little heavy to carry but I honestly don’t mind. Overall, it’s not bad.

Bought this computer to play games such as Balder's Gate 3 w/ mods and Avatar: frontiers of pandora, and it has worked perfectly. I can stream in Discord while playing with no issues. Mic and camera are crisp in Internet calls. Like many gaming laptops, it heats up a bit when being used but nothing that can injure you or the machine. So far I have no complaints.

I bought this as a gift for my wife so that we could play games together. It's performed amazingly for the games we've tried so far - Split Fiction and Golf with Friends. The only downside is the somewhat low storage capacity.
