Pretty powerful, can run a lot of games on high for now. Bigget downsides are the lack of a second SSD port and the below average color gamut. I would wait until it's on sale to purchase.

Vwr good laptop high end product great value for money

Brand new and the first thing I try to do is install COD and it tells me there's not enough space. It has COD plastered all over the pictures of it and yet does not come capable of installing it. Also, it doesn't have a second storage drive slot so upgrading is a pain.

So far so good. I dont like how it only used the 4070 when playing games.

I only had this for a year and the motherboard decided to die and I did absolutely nothing to it. It was a nice laptop but this is frankly unacceptable

this PC, is or looked like a great deal however I feel as if I overspent and should have purchased a more cost effective pc for my needs.

I recently purchased this gaming laptop from Best Buy, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The first unit I received had a non-functional camera right out of the box. I tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by the representatives, including a hard reset, factory reset, BIOS update, and even a cloud recovery system provided by HP, but nothing worked. I ended up returning the laptop and got a replacement. The replacement worked fine for the first 2-3 days, but then it started having issues with a black screen. When I connected it to an external monitor, I could see the display, but it was extremely slow and laggy. The mouse would not work properly, making it nearly impossible to use. I tried all the troubleshooting steps again but the problem persisted. I’m extremely disappointed with this product and will be returning it soon. It’s disheartening to see such poor quality and reliability from HP, especially considering the effort and time I’ve invested in trying to resolve these issues. This experience has been a huge letdown, and I absolutely do not recommend this laptop.

Got this thing expecting great value for the price. It was on sale for 899. Turned it on and the first game I played I noticed i was getting roughly 60fps at 1080p. So i looked at gpu utilization and it was stuck at around 40%. I check out the power settings. Locked to balanced power saving. Tried about 40 differnet options could not get this thing to to go above 70% gpu utilization. Decided to try out a different laptop with a 4070 as a sanity check. It was getting 100fps at 4k where this thing was strugling to brake that at 1080p.

I will update this review as i get more info about the actual issue but after a hour of online texh support from geek squad i eas told that there is no wifi drivers for the version of windows that i have right out of the box. Very confusing because the Bluetooth works fine but absolutely no WiFi and after troubleshooting they couldnt find drivers for the version of wifi card in the laptop at the HP software support site dose not have drivers for windows 11 version 24H2 that comes pre installed on my laptop i will update tlin a few days after i take it to the store and exchange it but first impressions are pretty bad that there is no support for wifi on a brand new PC
