It was great at the first start. Then 2 months later my receiver went out. Now i cant listen to anything. I still have my 1 year warranty tho.

With in two days the receiver went out took back bought something else

It quit working after 1 year of used, it has problems intermittently till stop working Speakers are very cheap

Bought it at the store and took it home but couldn't set it up for a month or so until the remodeling was done. Got it set up and played it for a couple of hours. Turned it on the next day and it wouldn't work at all. Also when I tried to sign up for the warranty I couldn't because the page didn't exist online. What a piece of crap. Never buying that brand again!!!

Didn’t like. $300 is way too much for the quality you get. Should only be a $100 system in my opinion.

My wife had the TV on, then the audio totally shut down, we bought a new TV not thinking it was a HDMI plug, so after I got off work I tested the HDMI ports and boom it started to work again. HDMI cable port no longer works I bought this 3 weeks ago and now it's going back.

The receiver gave out after a week of using it. Barely used it

My old Samsung receiver died after six years or so. To replace it, I actually first bought the Onkyo - TX 5.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD (model TX-SR373 ) which comes with no speakers thinking I can reuse my existing speakers. Before even opening the box I realized the new Onkyo receiver did not have the right connection to my old subwoofer. Rather than fiddling with trying to make that work I realized I can get this Onkyo - HT 5.1-Ch. 4K Home Theater System (with the six speakers) for only $50 more (after a price match with Amazon). The only issue I have with the system (thus the rating of 4) is that the wires included are too short, especially the ones to the surround speakers. I had to splice/extend both surround and front wires. Other than that, the installation went pretty smooth. I do like the sound quality - for the price of course. The reviews I read regarding the sound getting a bit muffled above a volume of 50 is somewhat true. I've setup my system in the family room in my basement which is not that big, so this is not such a big deal for me. I don't see us going over a volume of 50. But I suppose for a real large room this might be an issue. BTW, BestBuy's product description suggests the remote is not included which I thought was odd, but it actually is included.

I had an Onkyo system years ago and I am very happy with this one! Set-up was quick and easy with color-coded wires and speakers to make connections simple. The wires are pre-stripped so you won't need to cut them or anything. The receiver set-up worked perfectly with what I wanted. I can turn on the receiver and use it or leave it off and everything passes through to the TV for normal viewing and listening.

No issues setting up and 4K pass thru works amazing. If you need 4K audio pass thru, this is the system to get. Sounds amazing too! Get one!!

Not overly loud, but effective surround sound. Subwoofer kicks in when you turn it up. Pleased with purchase.

I have had this unit for only 6 weeks and now the HDMI signal is not being picked up, so no picture. I have to now send this to a repair center, I have to box up and pay for the shipping to the repair center and Onkyo will cover labor and parts. So, I will be out the shipping, and with out my unit for who knows how long. I bought this Onkyo unit to replace one I had for 12 years with out an issues. I guess Onkyo used to make good products,but not any more. And Best buy was useless in the entire process. Will not be doing business with them anymore as well. Buyer beware. Very unhappy and extremely disappointed.
