Good system with plenty of inputs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My bluray surround system died which got me looking at upgrading for a replacement. I found this system with multiple input options along with bluetooth connectivity for a great price. The system was easy to set up and provides decent surround sound. It has 4 hdmi inputs, bluetooth along with older connections for wide compatibility. The system is a great deal for the price. My minor complaints are that the main unit is quite large to fit on a shelf. It could be a bit louder but it works fine without shaking my house. I would have also liked wireless rear speakers like my old system but I added the rocketfish system to address that. I have very happy with the system. At $249 it was a good deal.

Excellent system for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a replacement 5.1 system as my current one was on it last leg (audio de-syncing and sub popping sound from bass). I didn’t have a lot of money to spend and I didn’t want a sound bar. I did my research and this one came out on top. The audio clarity from this unit is fantastic and I love the fact I can plug in all my devices into the receiver. I did get this during the holidays for $250, but it is still worth the $299 price. If there is one down side, from what I can tell, it is not compatible with LPCM (PCM only). So my Nintendo Switch will not play in 5.1 even thought the switch detects all 6 speakers. Not really a fault of the receiver, I just wanted to point that out.

Great Value for a budget Home Theater
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the Onkyo HTS may not have high end appeal, it gets the job done. I was looking for something simple enough that my younger kids would be able to use and good enough to not be a waste of money. The video switching is great for those with lots of extra game consoles, DVDs and streaming boxes. The Subwoofer is a passive unit and bottoms when turned up, but it's not bad. Speakers are better than I expected for the price. It's a definite step up from the cheap RCA and Magnavox systems.

Subpar subwoofer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The one and only problem I have with it is out of the box, the subwoofer pops a lot at high volume which is unacceptable. I bought this to replace a many years old RCA home theater system. The HDMI-out port failed on it but the speakers all still worked perfectly fine. I used that old subwoofer in place of this new one and the popping issue is long gone. The whole system works perfect now. The only reason I don't recommend it is because it needs to work properly out of the box. If I didn't have that spare subwoofer, I would've returned it.

Q: QuestionI know the unit passes HDR10. Does it pass Dolby Vision? The answer I received to the prior question did not say definitely yes on no on my question.

Q: QuestionWhat wall mounts can I use for the speakers
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer There is a screw slot on the back of the speakers for screw heads. The center channel has two, the other side speakers have one. I used a drywall anchor with a small panhead screw to attach my speakers to the wall. I also used the same for hanging the antenna wires.
