Though the GPS was fine between Austin and Lubbock, it was frequently non functional during a trip in New Mexico. After my problems, I found online mine was not an isolated incident. So, though I loved the phone in every other was (beautiful build quality and display, terrific camera, instantaneous fingerprint reader), spotty GPS function was a deal breaker.

I returned Honor 8 after two days to get a second 5X. Honor 5X's battery life is significantly longer than Honor 8's although there is not much difference in terms of their performances. My parents are super happy with their Honor 5Xs.
