Don't believe any negative reviews. I am not a paid review person I actually own this phone I owned a Samsung S6 and the Honor 8 is right up there with the high end phones. The honor 8 has no lag whatsoever it is as fast if not faster then my S6. I use it a lot for driving and Google maps is almost instant. I connect with Lte everywhere. I'm more than happy with my purchase. I saved so much money not purchasing the Samsung S7. Huawei did a great job.!

After my LG G3 finally died, I did a lot of research on phones. I was quite interested in the Honor 8 because of its specs and price tag. I was wanting a really nice phone, but I didn't have the budget for top of the line this time. Anyway, it really is the best bang for your buck. I've had a lot of different phones over the years but this is really the best. I have never been so impressed. The quality is superb. The battery life is amazing. It runs memory-intensive apps so very smoothly. It looks slick. The camera quality is really good. EMUI takes a little getting used to, but I like it. It's turned a lot of heads and even made my Apple friends jealous. My only complaint is the phone is slick. So very slick. As in slippery slick. I've had mine for a week and was waiting on a case (local Best Buy didn't have one) and I dropped it two days ago. It took the fall like a champ, but the bottom and top of the screen cracked a little. I'll send it off for replacement, so it's no real biggy, but just make sure you get a case for it ASAP.

This phone is kinda mind blowing. This phone is beautiful and functional and one heck of a bargain. Honestly the one gripe I have with this phone is that the EMUI flavor of Android is a bit disappointing. Perhaps that could be remedied if I could figure out how to download other skins for it but as it stands I can't escape the iOS-ified notification shade or the contacts hub and a couple of other things. At stock this is probably the most iOS-like form of Android I have ever used. So if that's your thing... But it's a preference and not enough for me to justify a star off. But other than those aesthetics this is a fantastic phone, in ALL ways. I want to see more of this, these sensibly sized top of the line specced devices with killer performance and build. Huawei, you have just gained a fan.

This phone performs great. I bought after returning Note 7. I have owned Nexus 4 & 5, Galaxy S3, S7, Note 4 & 5, LG3. This phone performs like a charm, no stutters. Launcher operates similar to IOS, didn't bother me since other launchers could be downloaded and used. I actually liked it, having tried MIUI ROM, before on my Nexus. Battery life is awesome!! Fast Charging. Fingerprint sensor is very fast, smart buttons is convenient. What needs to be improved is loudspeaker sounds a bit low, but other that that no complaints, really hard to believe what you get for the price.

Purchased and was using Note 7 previously. After returning the Note 7, decided to get this. Phone is fast, battery life is great, and camera takes great shots. Now that all lasted for 2 days. In the time I have been waiting for a case and screen protector, it actually fell off a high top table at a local bar last night, and landed on the front screen. LCD is intact, however the glass is shattered. Touch screen is still functional. That has happened with the S7 and the iphone 6s before, and there wasnt an issue. Ive reached out to Honor for comment... That aside, I would recommend the phone and will be getting another...whether through Honor or amex insurance,.

So far this phone has been a pleasure to use. I came from Windows Phone, so it's a bit of a change for me, but a good one. My two favorite features of this phone are the fingerprint reader and camera(s). No longer do I have to fumble with keying in a PIN if I want to secure my phone--the fingerprint reader works quickly and nearly flawlessly. The phone's overall operation is smooth, and the UI is easy enough to figure out. Its striking looks complete the package. Great value!

This is a great phone for the price, my LG G4 bootlooped on me and i needed another phone fast. I couldnt have picked a better option, this phone is fast and has a great camera. It has a "pro" mode that lets you adjust camera setting such as shutter speed(30 second max), ISO, whitebalance, and more! No bloatware and the fingerprint reader/button functionality is great!

Bought this phone as a gift for my wife. It looks and feels amazing, the glass finish on the back is very impressive. The camera is very decent, out performing my Nexus 6. The phone is very responsive and fast. The fingerprint scanner responds and unlocks the phone instantly. The EMUI (the software interface) is strange with no app drawer but you can easily install another launcher. This phone is amazing for the price, I would absolutely recommend it.

I've been an Apple/iPhone diehard for the better part of the past 8 years and have recently been feeling the desire to see what's on the Android scene. In 2016 I've tried out the S7 Edge, Google Pixel XL, ZTE Axon 7, and now the Honor 8. Of all of them, the Honor 8 is by far my favorite. Between the unbelievably gorgeous design, solid cameras, top of the line processor, and awesome fingerprint scanner with programmable shortcuts Huawei has certainly outdone themselves; especially when you consider the price. And that's where the Honor 8 really shines in my opinion. You truly get a flagship smartphone for under $400, and that's INSANE. I mean there's also the OnePlus 3 and ZTE Axon 7 in the same price range, but there's something about the Honor that puts it ahead of the pack. And I love that you can just walk into almost any Best Buy and snag one.

Had this phone for almost two months now. A lot has happened. Cracked the screen and sent it off for repair under warranty. Got it back in under two weeks, Everyone was awesome in service department. Phone as good as new again. Got the new android 7 update yesterday and that is awesome. Camera is very good and phone calls are clear. Just a great fast phone. I love it.

For get S7 Edge theirs a new phone that's cheaper and works very well

It's my first smart phone. My trusty slider phone is finally dying. I like it enough to preorder after shopping for a couple months: 1. It's an Android skinned to look like iOS which I prefer. 2. 15 layers of glass on back for cool look. It's hard to tell in the videos but the YouTubers seem giddy over it, making me irritatingly excited. I hate being excited. 3. Protruding rounded glass. Looks great to me. 4. The blue color kept coming up as the cool one in the prerelease reviews, so I wanted to give that a shot. 5. The idea of the dual cameras sounds great. I hope it takes remarkable photos in a studio with hot lights. Overall it just seems like the right size at a reasonable price.

I don't usually write reviews but I had to write this one. I've owned many phones from Nokia, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, and this is my first Huawei phone and definitely my last after my experience. I went to the store looking for a phone and after looking around I liked the honor 8, few days after I bought the phone the phone slipped from my bed onto the floor and that's when I realized something really bad happened, so I picked up the phone I realized this phone had a glass back and the back side completely broke. I don't believe in investing in a case or a screen protector. The phone is super slippery and fragile, it slipped from my hand over 10 times within 2 weeks, completely wasted 400+ dollars. Never had problems with phones breaking except for this one.

Well, I originally purchased the phone due to my exploding note 7, thinking I would try the honor 8 and see what the hype was about. After a few months with the phone, I have no complaints worth mentioning. It handles anything I throw at it and does it quickly. Watch out Samsung and Apple, this company is coming for you. I may be upgrading to the mate 9, but this honor 8 isn't going anywhere. Keep it up Huawei.

I like the phone a lot. Quick and smooth. I like EMUIi and it's folders so I can group similiar apps, not going through a big app drawer to find apps. The screen could be better but it works for me... The privacy policy is rather questionable. You should read it. There is no privacy from Huawei and anyone it deems suitable to have access to your identity and data. I read it when I had to approve of the privacy policy just to browse my files on the phone be it SD or installed memory. And Huawei monitoring forums and reviews and replying with comments is very odd. I would have bought an Honor 8 for wife, but not until I verify whether or not the privacy policy is normal. I certainly have never read any thing so broad with regard to a release of privacy. an idea : I will flash a new OS ....

This is a very very nice phone, a wise choice actually, performance comparable to iPhone 7

the camera is nice the phone charge very fast, and the phone perform very fast. bads the phone very slippery, and not enough of storge only 32gb!

I very like this phone. it's easy to use, the phone is great.. and not that expensive.
