Its big so be prepared for that, you will need two hands at some point. The screen on this even though its only 1080p is amazing, and i would dare anyone who didnt know better to tell you its not a quad HD screen. It never slows down, never gets sluggish at all and the camera can do some amazing bokeh shots. This is a great device and a certain go to for anyone wanting that big phone experience

Great camera, longlife battery and EMUI5 being a light touch up of Android stock it's been a pleasure to use. I have skinned it with Nova and have only found one interface "hitch" (dropping direct dials on to home screen- permission denied). Being able to use Multiple SIMs at 3G or better has future proofed it as countries start to switch off their 2G networks. Was a bit of an unknown risk at purchase but I've had no buyers remorse since. Well done Huawei!!!

As long as big and somewhat heavy aren't a problem for you, you'll love this phone. I had a Mate 8 before this that I loved but eventually fell victim to a broken touchscreen when I dropped it on concrete, and the 9 is so good that I'm in no hurry to buy the Mate 10 when it comes out next month...I can enjoy this one for years because it's performance is so strong, and can wait for prices to drop on the 10 before upgrading again.

My favorite phone

Prefer the screen resolution because it's adequate while conserving battery life. Works as a remote. Emui is quite good. Would highly recommend it.

But after much research I fell in love with the mate 9. This phone is built well, has amazing battery life and super fast charging. The hardware specs are phone are hard to beat. I have had many phones and ran out of my Sony Xperia z4, everything out there was a downgrade, except this. Step outside the box , and look at the real specs! Samsung and apple products are over hyped by marketing teams. This is a real flagship.
