||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before buying the Mate 9, I was a big fan of that other company (whose name rhymes With Jambung) but the Mate 9 has won me over. The 5.9" display is good for my old eyes and the fact that it's "only" 1080p bothers me not. The Kirin 960 processor is fast and makes me think Exynos who? Snapdragon what? Forget about benchmarks. In everyday use, the Mate 9 handles everything I do quickly and effortlessly. Huawei's EMUI overlay on top of Android 7.0 is light and attractive with nice animations. Plus I finally get a memory card slot again. On top of everything else great, the unibody metal construction looks and feels like a high end premium device. I'm sold on Huawei.

Great phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Huawei ascend xt it has been dropped from over 10 feet fell a from waist height a hand full of times and been ran over by a Ford escape and still was by far one of the best phones I ever owned so I figured why not upgrade and I love this phone even more then I did the xt. Although it's a little smaller to the xt it is lightning fast and never seems to bog or slow down. The battery don't last as long a I thought it would but I can get a full day 6am-10pm on a charge that's after YouTube for 2 hours and I heart about 4-5 hours plus texting phone call and social media. I would not hesitate to purchase this device again

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Mate 9 is a well built Android phone with a fantastic dual rear camera (on par with the iPhone IMO), USB C charging with a super charger included in the box, the elusive headphone jack, with updates, has EMUI 8, which is based off of Android Oreo. Don't expect updates beyond Oreo if you buy this phone now. If you want something more future-proof, I would look into the OnePlus 5T which is in the same price range. Huawei's EMUI is fine, but the launcher doesn't do it for me (you can always download your own, which I've done). With the special financing I received on this phone, it made it well worth it.

Even though none of my friends have heard of it it is the best Hidden Gem! Great resolution, big screen, lots storage, fantasic camera! Almost a combo of both Samsung and the iPhone put into one but without the hefty price.
