The experience, however wasn't good so returned to iPhone. But I heard about this phone, and in the first hour of use definitely is a major improvement over the Nexus 6p and a winner over the iPhone. The Mate 9 is super fast compared iPhone 6 plus, charge incredibly fast and his battery last longer at 4,000 mAh is almost two days on a single charge. Also apps works flawlessly, I had an issue with Garmin connect and was solve in a couple of days. Connect easily and intuitively through wifi and Bluetooth that you don't notice when changed between sources Another great feature is the several alerts you have such as power demanding apps under use that you can select and close. Camera is the best improve. Leica lenses means professional photography in your phone: AMAZING! Another attribute I liked is dual SIM, you have a primary SIM Card but if you receive a phone call from the other SIM, you can hear and answer or setup a callback Good stereo speakers, not the best but acceptable. Big screen with higher definition, and finally great customer service and screen replacement for free for the first three moments of use from the manufacturer. Definitely recommend this product.

Very fast but user interface not good enough

On my Samsung, I could review notifications without logging in and clicking on anything. Apps like Pandora would provide controls so you would not have to unlock your phone.

Step 1: See which apps use the most battery.
1. Open your device's Settings app
2. Tap Battery.
3. See a list of apps and services, and the percentage of your battery that each app has used since your last full charge.
4. To get details and change options that could save battery, tap an app or service in the list.
Step 2: Force problem apps to stop.
You don't need to close apps unless something goes wrong. Swiping apps closed doesn't save battery.
But to completely turn off an app, including any background services that may be using battery, you can force stop the app. To force stop and restart is like a "hard reboot" for an app.
Important: If you force stop some essential apps or services, your device may not work correctly. Force stop isn't available for all apps.
To force stop an app:
1. Open your device's Settings app
2. Tap Apps.

Then Huawei came out with the Mate 9. I loved all of the features of this phone. The screen size, speakerphone volume and camera features were all great. It is especially very fast and responsive. I noticed the difference between the Mate 9 and the LG V20. I purchased the Mate 9 on March 11, 2017. I decided to wait a while before writing as comprehensive a review as possible, so here it is. I absolutely love this phone and persuaded my brother to purchase one also. I had no complaints until this past weekend in October 13, 2017, when I noticed that the battery started to deplete very rapidly. It would only hold a charge for a couple of hours. I had to keep plugging in the phone. I am such a Huawei believer that I purchased the Huawei smart watch in December of 2016 and persuaded my daughter to buy one also instead of going with the Samsung Gear Watch 2. I noticed that the Mate 9 somehow affected the battery strength of the Huawei watch also, and the watch also began to lose its battery power equally rapidly if not more so. I recognize that I have to reset it or whatever it takes, perhaps send it back to Huawei factory because it does come with a one-year warranty, however, I needed a replacement in the meantime. I am very disappointed that the Mate 9 lasted less than a complete year before shutting down completely. I even put the phone in ultra battery saver mode, to no avail because the battery continued to drain rapidly still. Two days ago I purchased the Huawei Honor 6X to use because I am hoping the Huawei will reach out to me and recommend what my next step should be to repair this phone. I am jaded, but I do love everything about the Mate 9 except for the continuous drain on the battery right now. And I need my phone to be available and working 24/7. All of that being said, I would still recommend the Mate 9 because it has a lot of bells and whistles. I have used Samsung for years since I switched from the iPhone, and refuse to go back to either phone, so I am hoping Huawei can redeem themselves with some assistance and fix the battery issue because, once again, the Mate 9 is a beautiful, fast, responsive phone, and takes great photos. I do still think it's a great phone at a great price with great features. There is no need to spend $900 to $1,000 on a phone when you buy the Mate 9. Huawei, please help me to resolve the battery issue, this is the reason for 4 start rating.

My battery went out with didn't used the phone at all ...So disappoint about huawei support at USA.... Contact they two days already no response for shipping label...And they told my buy the time I sent out for repair it will take more than 2weeks to complete and sent it back to me.... That means I want get my phone back with 3weeks lol..Very disappoint..About there support services....

Pretty cool phone but has some hardware problems

I did the factory formatting and it continues the same thing. In the beginning my cell phone was charging very fast, now it takes all night and it does not stay 100%. I had a Samsung S7 and i had no hardware problems. I bought it in jan-2017 in NYC and i will probably lost the warranty. I hope nobody goes through this.

Also, in order to resolve your issue with the battery drain, we suggest you try the following: Open Phone Manager. Touch remaining and swipe up on the screen. You can:
Touch Battery usage details to view detailed battery usage statistics.
Touch Consumption level to see which phone hardware and software is using the most power.
Touch Optimize to check for power consumption problems and optimize performance.
Switch on Remaining battery percentage to display the remaining battery perecentage in the status bar.
