Great phone....can't believe I am going to say this...maybe just a little too big for your pockets. Fantastic display...I have done nothing but point shoot the camera and have gotten great photos and complements on them from iPhone users. There's really nothing to complain about. The new Andoid OS works well. Flawless fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately it's not ANY faster than my 2.5 year old OnePlus One phone. Probly could have used more RAM. Battery life is spectaclar, and with fast charging, I can't imagine having issue with NOT plugging my phone in overnight.

From the first iPhone release 2007,... 10 years & 6 iPhones later, I finally switched to Andriod. I waited & waited several weeks for Best Buy to get this in stock. My last phone before this purchase was the iPhone6 & I skipped the upgrade last year 2016. The reviews on the Huawei Mate 9 is totally spot on, better battery, fast charging & bigger screen in the same form factor of the iPhone7 plus. Even my wireless Bluetooth headphone never dropped a connection, it dropped a lot on my iPhone6. The SIM card is the same size from the iPhone & instantly was recognized on AT&T network. FAST & no fuss phone, good job Huawei!!!

After a month of use I think this phone is as good as the Youtube reviewers say it is. Build quality is very good. Great connection and call quality. Speaker quality and volume is good for watching videos and speaker phone conversations. Vivid photos. The display is bright and viewable outdoors. The fingerprint reader responds quickly. By my use the battery lasts all day and then some. With 64 gb of memory I won't need an SD card for a good while. As a personal preference I would like the power switch on the top, but that's just me. Over all I like this phone a lot and yes I would buy it again.

Perfect display and camera performance. Superb quick battery charge and battery time. I don't have to charge every day after heavy work related usage.

was looking for something other than an iphone. this was a good switch. does everything i want it to do and half the price. battery lasts forever.

The phone is in very good quality in terms of display, connection battery and camera. And the android phone works good with Microsoft Edge now.

This mobile phone is really awesome. Its fast, reliable and has a great camera. I bought to use with my AT&T Carrier. It works perfectly.

This phone is small enough with a covrware case to (barely) fit into a shirt pocket and is narrow enough to hold easily, yet it has a very bright 5.9" screen. Unless you're viewing your phone through a magnifying glass, bigger screen = see more and don't need to drag a tablet around. The speakers are loud and clear, really decent sound that seems almost too good to be coming from a phone. The battery life is terrific - it's a real two days per charge phone (which means that a year or 2 from now it will still be sufficient, when other phones with smaller batteries would start to need afternoon recharges). Performance is excellent, both speed of web browsing and the camera, but that's become almost automatic for current phones. I get excellent reception and it doesn't drop calls. It's already received a couple of monthly security updates from google through Huawei's service. The only downside is that T-Mobile doesn't support Wi-Fi calling for it, but it does do VoLTE and (somewhat to my surprise) I get good call reception in my basement - something my old Samsung could never do without wi-fi calling enabled. - I can see it better, hear it better, and the battery doesn't die on me - it's exactly what I want from a phone. I'm very, very happy with this phone.

This phone is awesome, purchased as an open box item came in fast and in great condition, only thing I was missing from watching unboxing was a case that was supposed to come with it ......ok on to the phone snappy as heck I own a 128gb iPhone 7 plus and an LG V20 this phone feels like it beats the breaks off those two I like the LG and that made me also think I don't need to spend 800 on a phone , I liked that phone quiet a bit but I read reviews on the mate 9 and I had to have it I'm a tech head and love switching things up after two weeks my sim card is staying in this phone the kirin 960 chipset is a monster super smooth opens all apps quick I can multitask I'm watching reviews for the essential phone and posting this review at the same time , loud speakers , great 5.9" screen super fast fingerprint scanner I love this phone the cameras are no slouch either if you're thinking about this phone I'm sure the pricing will be dropping due to the mate 10 coming soon jump on this phone I hope we get an update to Android O don't let me down Huawei I loved my old Nexus 6p as well Huawei is doing big things excited to see what's coming up

Love this phone , it's fast and Very Well Made! Battery lasts for 2 days.

I have only had the phone for a few days, but so far there have been no issues with setup and operation. I like how snappy the phone is and I was worried about going with a non Snapdragon phone, but I have to say gaming and general movement between apps have been absolutely smooth. The bigger screen is really pretty and should be seen in person, but it compares very favorably over most of the other phones in the market. The price point for this phone is a little high, but it looks and acts like a true flagship phone. I would definitely make sure you are ok with the size of the phone, as its about the size of the IPhone 7 plus, and the battery life is huge, only have to charge it maybe once a day, and have been able to get 2 days moderate use so far.

I suffered too much from Samsung phones, especially for battery life. With this phone, it's wow. I never regret at all buying it. Great performance, camera, and battery life. With full charge, I do not have to carry with me an extra battery or a charger while being out. Thanks to Huawei Mate 9.

This phone is any big phone lovers favorite. Comes with dual leica cameras with lots of options in the camera software. full pro/manual mode, different filters etc. EMUI (huawei software on top of android 7.0) is snappy and responsive i dont really have any complaints on that. The battery is first class. i use a lot of snapchat, texting, youtube video, bluetooth in car and also at the gym which means i am constantly using the phone however at the end of the day i have about 18% left over. i easily get arond 5 hours of SOT. and maybe even more if i dont use my phone much. It also has interesting features built within like the multi directional microphone, 2 speakers one on top and one bottom firing, the front camera does take awesome pics as well. finger print scanner is incredible fast. BTW, everyone loves the camera. my friends want to take pics with my phone for their social media! i just wish that huawei continues to send me updates for this phone that way i can keep this phone for a long time :D

Fantastic phone. Replaced my S5, which had inadequate storage, no battery life, and was overloaded with Verizon's lousy software. I was switching to T Mobile and this phone is compatible (but not on Verizon). Tons of memory, great battery life, charges fast, and Hauwei's software is a great addition to the Android interface. I absolutely love this phone and would encourage buying this over the more expensive S8 or iPhone.

The Huawei mate 9 is a very nice phone with large bright screen and fast performance. Since I bought this phone, I don't use my computer to check my emails anymore because this phone is a lot faster than my i7 computer when accessing Yahoo mail. Haven't used the camera much but I expect good performance as well. The battery performance is outstanding with about 85% left at night for light user or 50% after heavy use.

This is a fantastic cell phone with almost flagship characteristics. It has a beautiful display. It is not Quad HD but it really doesn't matter because of the high PPI. The operating system is very fluid and well-designed. Touch is very responsive and so is the finger touch sensor. Memory is adequate and you can add SD card if you like to but you are not able to format the SD card to act as an internal memory. Some high-end cell phones scan your retina to find out if you are still looking at the screen and they won't let the screen to turn off if you are still looking at the screen. Unfortunately this phone doesn't have this feature but it has and interesting feature that lets you filter the blue light of the display so you don't get tired eyes. The speakers are the only ones that I have found that can get near to Motorola pure X speakers. Overall I recommend this phone because you get an almost flagship phone for an affordable price.

This is a very good good phone for the price. The fingerprint sensor is awesome, real fast and responsive. Screen is decent, and the OS is clean, not bloatware to worry about. Haven't used the camera much, but from the few times I've used it is pretty decent. Battery is very good for a day usage, if minimal usage (phone/text) it can perfectly last up 2 days. Speakers are good quality. I do miss the availability of Wi-Fi calling but that depends on your provider supporting the phone (I'm with t-mobile). Again, very good phone for the price.

Why pay for a Samsung or I phone that has lesser specs? This is my fifth Huawei phone over many years and they have all been perfect. This phone has an octo core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB internal storage, a Leica 20MP dual camera, a huge screen. It's super fast, has a huge battery that charges REALLY fast. Very pleased with how easy it was once again to transfer everything to a new phone!

I decided to get this phone because of the battery life and the new processors that would not heat up as the other processors. I am happy with the camera and battery life. Phone is fast, no lag and the screen looks good. Also the 64gb internal storage is awesome.
