This is a worthy flagship phone from Huawei. Feels nice, their UI overlay fixes some of the Android roughness, battery life is great and it is super fast. I'm very pleased with this phone and happy to get rid of my Moto Pure which was awkward, slow and not very reliable.

this is really a good phone, except with no or marginal company support. Android 8 was promised, but not delivered there is a good users manual available. phone is very good, music and audio excellent. bright large screen...Android oreo update would be the icing on the cake

Hi!! I like the phone But, i am wondering if i could move apps to SD card or could use SD card as internal storage!! If anybody knows then please let me know!! Otherwise, really good phone so far.

I was thinking of upgrading my Huawei Nexus 6p (that I bought at Best Buy) to the Mate 9, but recently my nexus phone needed servicing. I shipped it out for a repair under warranty, was promised by the Huawei service agents that the phone would be repaired in 7-10 business days. It has been nearly a month and still no phone. Buyer beware, they are great products until you have to deal with a warranty claim or customer service. I will never buy another Huawei product again.

Model: Huawei Mate 9 Purchased: Jan 2017 Model: MHA-L29 CPU: Octa-core 2.4 GHz RAM: 4 GB Android: 7.0 / Nougat I've had the Huawei Mate 9 for 3 months and can't yet provide any positive feedback – in summary, for US based buyers, recommendation is to save your money and go with a more established platform. Biggest issues are the proprietary sync is massively intrusive and buggy, and for US customers, Huawei provides no domestic service options. From an actual owner, trust me and look elsewhere. 1) Poorly designed, even for a large phone, it’s far too wide for single handed use or really to hold for long periods of time. Even for an adult male, it’s quite clumsy to use 2) Dynamic speakers are a good idea, but the execution is poor. They seem to shift between stereo and mono abruptly – big phone, small, tinnish, distorted sound 3) Huawei provides no US based service - you can't get this phone repaired or serviced by an authorized Huawei store anywhere in the US – they don’t have any domestic repair centers 4) ‘Hisuite’ the proprietary windows sync platform of Huawei is intrusive, buggy, and lacking a full phone sync. Worse yet, if you choose not to use their program, it’s impossible to simply plug in and access the device through Windows File Explorer. 5) Volume buttons lost their ‘click’ within two months of use - the metal case looks slick but the underlying build quality is cheap. 6) Power Port is USB-C – good luck finding anyone with a USB-C plug if you’re away from your home or office. Impossible to charge when you’re out unless you bring your own adapter every time you leave the house

phone is very fast , but, it seems leaking battery power quick

My phone was just over a month old and failed. It went dark when charging and would not power back on. Being just out side the return policy by a few days I was instructed to return the unit to Huawei. Well it's been a month and no phone, no update and just excuses. Agents accusing other agents of supplying me with false information and pointing blame at the service center. I would caution anyone as I've been told the service center is being "overwhelmed" with Mate9 customers like me to avoid this device at this time.

great phone for the first 3 hours then the low light camera feature total froze the entire camera app nothing would work except a total device system restore exchanged it and yet again so enough had to get a refund so DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE FOR A CAMERA !!!!!!!!

Do not buy Huawei, I bought an Honor 8 3 months ago which was defective on arrival. Company has not processed my warranty claim yet and the call center is helpless. I have been explaining the same issue every time I call. - Angry and disappointed customer.
