Customers are pleased with the battery life, design, display, speaker, watch faces, price, and notifications of the Smartwatch 42mm Stainless Steel. They find the battery life surprisingly solid, the design well-executed, and the display bright and clear. The built-in speaker for taking calls, the variety of watch faces, and the reasonable price are also appreciated. Customers are satisfied with how easy it is to read notifications on the watch. However, there are some concerns about the charging puck, compatibility with other devices, connectivity issues with iPhones, the version of Android Wear, and the weight of the watch. Upgraded from a Moto 360 Gen1 and I love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this watch and I love it. Responsive with great battery life. Only con is the charger which is not consistent, it takes a little bit of maneuvering to get it to start charging.

This Is a Best of Breed Smartwatch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have about 15 watches, five of them are smart watches, two Android Wear. The two Android watches can't co-exist. Since there is only one Android Wear app on my IPhone, switching between them is a major pain. To make the switch, both watches have to be unpaired, and I'm finding that removing the app and reinstalling is required. This is obviously an Android problem and has almost nothing to do with the watch itself. I am writing this up because I see that Huawei monitors these comments. I hope they pass it on. I really like this watch. The biggest reason I bought it is that my other Android can't play ring tones and alerts. This one can. If the phone is in my pants pocket, I can't hear it. This watch fixes that. The display and watch face selection are excellent. Some people comment that they find the OS cumbersome. I don't really agree but it does take just a bit of getting used to. What doesn't? One other thing: I've only had it a few days but I find the battery life to be much better than expected. I haven't used it enough to really run the battery down but I think it'll go into three days at least.

Best Smartwatch To Date
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In terms of looks, display, features and battery life this is the best watch to date. With the android update this watch has enabled speakers. Now you can answer AND hear your phone calls. You can also set audible alarms and hear your music and videos all on your wrist. The speakers are very loud for a wristwatch. During my search for a new smartwatch I narrowed it down to this one and the Moto 360 2nd Gen. The Moto has no speaker so it was an easy choice for me to select the Huawei Watch. FYI...Huawei doesn't list the speaker on their site or any other site because it was just enabled during a recent android update.

Beautiful watch with fatal flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is beautiful, functional, well made but unfortunately has a fatal flaw. The vibration motor is so weak that you cannot tell when it is alerting you to an incoming message or a phone call. I bought the watch so that I would not continuously need to keep my phone out or listen to it ring while in meetings. However, I must leave the phone ringer active (or possibly on vibrate) if I want to know when a message or call are incoming. This defeats a primary benefit of the smart watch for me. I found the battery to be capable of lasting from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm, even with moderate to high usage. However, the charging disk is far less functional than the Moto's charging system which is wireless. You must be careful to align the disk properly or the watch will not charge. The screen is crisp and the colors vibrant. I was a bit concerned that at 42mm it would not be as functional as the Moto's 48mm screen. As the resolution of the Huawei is better than the Moto this is a non-issue. Also, the 42mm is much more comfortable on my wrist that the 48mm. In short, I would have been very satisfied with the watch if the vibration alert was capable of notifying me of incoming calls/messages. If the need for physical alerts is not a concern for you, I would highly recommend this watch. But since it is a must for me, this flaw is a deal breaker.

Best looking android watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally caved in getting a smart watch, mainly because I wanted to wait to get one that actually looked like a watch. This has pros and cons bs the Moto 360 so decide for yourself which is better. I have enjoyed this since getting it a few weeks ago. Looks sleek, good battery life, does everything I expected. Mostly use it for notifications wheny phone is out of reach. Would recommend.

From Toy to Necessity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for a few months now, and I love it! A recent update enabled call taking from the watch, and that is really handy when your phone is out of reach or your hands are full. The voice recognition is excellent, often better than my car's, and being able to do many Google Searches right on the phone is a plus. Dozens of watch faces available, and apps like Flashlight and Google Keep work great right on the watch. The Find My Phone feature can be a life saver. Or a great game with kids. The only slight negative is the charging puck needing pin alignment, but the haptic ticks and the display changes as soon as it is connected. Quality, a great warranty, great battery life, and a smart watch that looks like a man's watch. This went from an inpulse buy I thought would be going right back to something I wear almost every day.

Great Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beautiful watch. Great build quality and specs. I have a iPhone and it works great but not as many features as when syncing to Android devices. The android ware app is a little limited on the IOS platform. This watch is defiantly 5 star worthy. Already received a few complements.

Absolutely amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried many Smart and fitness watches, but this watch has surpassed even my expectations and believe me I'm extremely hard to impress. This watch is amazing from the minute you out it on the charger. It emulates perfection from the very onset. Not only is it am amazing Smart watch but equally an amazing fitness tracker. This watch is hundreds of dollars more then the manufacturer price. Now I've only had mine a month, but I'm truly impressed in every feature front he hundred of different watch faces which will have your hwas spinning on which one to wear, to all the apps that work so smoothly with my Samsung Galaxy android. If I could afford it is would buy one for everyone I know for Christmas. Simply top of the line.

Luxury. Smart. Watch.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It really is a luxury smart watch. Excellent overall quality from the screen to the speakers to the size. It is perfect in every regard. The only thing that could be considered a drawback is the absence of a light sensor, so brightness must be changed manually. Though this feature is present on the Moto 360, it comes at the cost of an ugly "flat tire" on the screen. I'd take no flat tire over auto-brightness any day. Battery life is also incredible. Depending on use, you can go around 4 days without charging it. Again, it's perfect in every way.

Nice watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The leather band is comfortable and the watch looks very dress casual. I tested the step counter on a treadmill. It said I went .77 miles and the treadmill said .8 so that was more accurate than I thought it would be. It easily connects to WiFi so I can leave my phone at my desk and still get texts and emails. I wish it had wireless charging. You have to watch for the charging indicator to make sure you got it connected properly. Overall I like the watch. It helps me manage notifications throughout the day which is 95% of why I bought it.

Great Smartwatch!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best smartwatch I have ever owned. The build quality is amazing, the software runs fast and fluid, and perfectly syncs to my phone without error, to view my important events and fitness tracking results. I have used this watch since 8am today and since off the charger, the watch is still at 72%. Battery life is amazing! I can easily go 2 1/2 days before having to charge again. Well done Huawei. Will definitely be looking for future products from you.

Great Smartwatch, fitness watch functions poor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had mine for 5 days now. The smart watch functions, email, texts etc. are excellent. It is a beautiful watch, the watch faces are great. But, the fitness functions so far are worthless. Pros: Beautiful watch, many options and applications available, size is OK on smaller wrist. The flick your arm function to turn on the watch face is nice. It appears by default android wear times out the screen and it goes into either ambient mode (if you have "always on" set to yes), or it goes completely black if you have "always on" off. It does this very quickly, 10 seconds. To preserve battery life, I have "always on" turned off, but I can just flick my wrist to see the screen. Cons: Battery life is very poor IMO. I don't know how it compares to other Smart Watches, but I started the day at 100%. Two hours of exercise, and I didn't even have the screen on, it is noon and down to 40%-- so back on the charger. I haven't gotten a full day out of it yet, but I exercise most every day. You could possibly get two days out of it if you only use it as a watch and read a few texts/emails etc. Heart Rate monitor only works when you are stationary. As soon as you make any significant movement with your hand/arm, the HRM freezes. I've tried this now multiple times with different applications -same result, it just freezes. Step count is woefully inaccurate. It counted a bike ride as climbing 4000 stairs. Other exercise when I normally rack up 5000+ steps, it only logs 1400. So, at this point, if I keep it, it will only be for the smart watch functions, and I'll have to do something else for fitness/exercise. I may do this, because as my spouse points out, it is a really nice looking and expensive watch, and wearing it during some physical activities you risk damaging it. Plus it is water resistant, not waterproof, so I wouldn't wear it on the Kayak for instance. It isn't like a timex or casio sport watch that can take beating.

Nice little Smartwatch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted an alternative to the Apple Smartwatch inspite of having an iPhone . I chose this after reading many reviews . The Huawei watch is lightweight and very efficient. its a great add on to your phone be it iphone or Android . notifications are easy to read . tracks steps and calories burnt and the screen is very clear and crisp . battery life is about a day . needs nightly recharging .

Beautiful watch, not worth the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first dive into smart watches. First the Pros: Beautiful watch! Fantastic screen. Cons: (some of these will also be limitations of android wear itself) Battery life is not fantastic. I kind of knew this going in, but I was down to 50% after only moderate use by 2pm. Even using black watch faces and bluetooth connection only. Vibrator is a joke. Even with the app "feel the wear" I could only hear the watch vibrating on my arm and not feel it. Bluetooth doesn't seem reliable. It would show connected and and soon as I would issue a voice command it would show offline. Sometimes the only fix was to cycle the bluetooth on my phone (I've seen other reviewers on different sites say the same thing) The watch is far too thick for my liking. Android wear does not support 802.1x, which is odd. In a corporate world, I would imagine most companies would have that security in place. So, without that, the watch became even more useless because I still had to carry my phone with me. But if it did, the battery wouldn't last half as long anyways. offline (meaning no internet connection) voice commands are limited Maybe in a few years I will revisit the smart watch idea.

Best of the Android Wear watches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have own a 360 1st and 2nd gen and I honestly NEVER got use to the flat tire. Some might say that the Huawei watch does not have a light sensor but, on the 360 I had to turn it off to extend battery life through a day out of the house. The screen is absolutely beautiful and the AMOLED screen is a great battery sipper which a wonderful thing. After a full work day where the watch was removed from the charger at 6am it is currently 12 and half hours later and I'm @ 55% . The activation of the speaker with the latest marshmallow update is the big winner with this watch although not used often by me but very handle in my line of work. I wish the heart-rate sensor would check your rate more often without you having to do it like the 360. Overall that is my only complaint. A great watch and one I'm about to buy my son.
