Will break!! Beware!! Go with the classic version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shortly after I purchased this watch, the watchband snapped off from the watch. After inspecting the two holes where the wrist band snaps into, I noticed that part of the actual watch where the band latches on had cracked and fell off. Of course Best buy didn't accept my return and I am now stuck with a watch that I can't even wear. If you must, I recommend the classic version as the part where the band connects is metal instead of cheap plastic.

If everything worked right, it would be good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleep tracking is a placeholder and doesnt work with ios or Android. Tracking steps and runs actually work well. Battery is pretty poor. If you have an iPhone, do yourself a favor and buy as much Apple Watch as you can afford. I returned this watch.

Lots of features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This smartwatch has lots of features. Unfortunately those features drain the battery quite quickly. Fully charged at 3 in the afternoon, 35% at 9 that evening. Do not know if it monitors sleep as it died before dawn.

Good for the relative price a fews cons though
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the Samsung Gear s3 and that lasted a week due to lack of maps, non-continuous heat rate and wasn't a Android Wear device and as a cyclist and hiker I did not like it with no mapping and spot heart rates. So i bought the Watch 2 based on the features i wanted although it was rated lower than the Gear 3. been using it for a month now. It is an Android ware 2.0 watch, apps are plenty at the app store and does have always on heart rate and google maps and you can load Strava and loads of watch faces too. The downsides are battery life is a day at best, if you travel like I do you'll need two chargers, it does not use the wireless charging and its own specific charger is needed. If you use any of the workout apps built in they use heat and GPS and battery life is about 3 hours or so, not good at all in use.The heart rate is not at all accurate while biking,, shows very low when I know its 150 vs 80, it does calibrate well in gyms and stationary when I used the two other heart rates to verify. Unlike others the size and wight are fine to me and the band is easy get on and off and fits well for me. processor could a bit faster but its not a deal breaker. Using a pattern to unlock watch is hit and miss for me ..might try 5 times before it tracks the correct pattern and youll need it to use Android Pay,,which I have not used yet but thought good to have in case i dont carry wallets cycling. I did have an issue connecting the first time and came to discover thats watch was not new and had been connected after I did a wipe of system, brought back and exchanged at Best Buy and setup was a breeze after that. Using the speaker/cell function has good sound quality but it does affect answering the phone,, most say it dod not ring but and takes while to connect. For the price it was good compared to garmins and iWatch. I am sure there will be more better watches coming out but this one works for now, if money was no object I would get the garmin Fenix 5x.

My first smart watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never had a smartwatch before so have nothing to compare to, but I have been very pleased with my Huawei Watch 2 in the 5 months that I've owned it. Mostly I use it for tracking fitness, specifically running. It works great with the Strava app, tracking heart rate, elevation and pace. I no longer need to carry my phone with me on a run, but do make sure to sync the watch data with my phone after each run. Don't know how accurate the heart rate monitor is but having used Garmin for tracking mileage, I can say that the GPS is very good - the mileage counts are the same as my Garmin and it takes much less time to connect, even on cloudy days. I've started using Google Fit, with is included as a system app on the watch and seems to include more exercise modes in the recent upgrades. I am still exploring the other functionalities of the watch - still haven't used Android Pay or music functions. I really like the notifications of calendar events. And I don't have to dig my phone out of my bag to see incoming text messages or emails. It's an attractive watch as well, and I've gotten many compliments on the appearance. It's great to be able to change up the watch face. I do have to remember to charge the battery every night, because my frequent use of GPS drains it faster. You might want to turn the watch off or turn the brightness down in the theater though. I got some complaints when unintentionally turning my wrist during a performance and having the bright screen flick on!

Great for running, biking and all day notification
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost didn't buy this as it got kind of bad video reviews online. But I don't know why. Mine is at 50% charge end of day(days when I don't run), it measures heart rate and steps all day. When I run I don't need my phone since it has offline music with google play music, GPS to record route and bluetooth for headphones - it's so great! When I do have my phone, it uses the phone for GPS to save battery, so biking that's what I use. I can control songs from my wrist. The google voice recognition is very good for answering texts. Overall I'm really impressed. I don't feel the need for a knob to swipe - the swiping is easy and intuitive on this. Overall I'm really happy with this watch.

Couldn't be happier
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first bought a Fitbit Ionic for $210 on BF, and it turned out to be a major disappointment. I got this a few days later after returning that, and the contrast was amazing. A few big things that this watch has that you don't necessarily get with other watches: * Always on display - Amazing. I was surprised that I get more than time. I can actually see upcoming appointments on the watch unobtrusively. For someone in a business with a lot of meetings, this is a game-changer for me. I keep the font size small so that really only I can read it. * Android Wear 2- Actually has a lot of options to customize the watch * Voice and Text - Super convenient. * Google assistant at the press of a button. Scheduling things and setting reminders are done in seconds now, where before it was obtrusive. * Great battery life. Not only do I get about 36-40 hours, this thing can go up to 2 weeks in watch only mode. I'm not aware of any other watch with these capabilities that has that. * Price - For $179, this thing is a steal. I can't recommend it enough. Best tech purchase I've made in years.

At least not recomended for ios or iphone owner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to receive and try on the new HUAWEI Watch 2 and read a lot of good things about it, however, I was disappointed after 5 days of use. The watch looks very elegant and professional. Though many functions, many of functions are of limited uses. One of main selling points is that this watch has 2-day battery life and it never reached one day (24 hours) during my regular use. In addition, it bothers me that this watch lost connection constantly, I am heavy google assistant user and 50% of time that watch lost its connectivities. I have both wifi and BT but it just didn't work. Maybe it is due to ios system, and android ware 2 didn't work with iphone well. But I am quite disappointed and hope there will be some improvement soon.

Nothing Phenominal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up after doing a ton of online research and looking to replace my Garmin after it died 6 months in. That seems to be a repeating cycle for me, they continuously have a 6 month time span. I have had fitbit, garmin, and now this, and they all only last about 6 months. No matter what guarantee they come with. This watch is pretty basic, nothing extraordinary. You have to really manage your settings, which are not simple, to get optimal battery life. Battery life lasts about two days on a full charge if you are not a heavy user (i.e. high activity, high volume through phone [calls, texts, messages]). Make sure that it is plugged and adhered correctly to the charger or it will not gather a charge. Connectivity drops randomly and you have to restart the watch to reconnect. It did it about two months into owning it, restarted, no issues. Now at six months, I am restarting it multiple times a day, connection will work for a little bit, but then drop back off. Currently restarted it this morning and still have no connection 3 hours later. Screen is alright. Nothing large. It is responsive to touch, almost too responsive... It will bump against something and change screens or send messages unintentionally. Kinda annoying when driving and listening to music through bluetooth and the song will change due to accidental touch. I wish the wristband was slightly different. I am stuck between two notches, one being too loose, one being too tight. No inbetween. I have not tested water durability, but I worked outside in the elements for the past six months while wearing this daily, and it held up alright. Needless to say, I am not sure if the six-month time frame is just my luck with watches, or if all smart watches are just that bad and to be expected. I will be returning this to Best Buy under Geek Squad protection. Highly urge anyone buying a smart watch to get the protection. You will be using it.

Great price, too small of a screen.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price on this watch is unbeatable, but it's all for nothing if it's too difficult to use. The outer ring - which is purely cosmetic - is the fatal flaw. It keeps your fingers from being able to touch the corners of the screen which makes simple yet essential functions of the watch unusable. Not a big deal if you have small hands but if you are even slightly larger than average, this is not the watch for you. It would be better if the ring took advantage of Wear 2.0's integration, but it's just bulky and in the way which ultimately led to me returning it a couple days later.

Great device with poor software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off I would like to say that I am a hardcore fitness watch enthusiast. I have used plenty of Garmin, Polar, Fitbit. Misfit, and Android Wear watches. This watch is beautiful to me. Great screen, not big on my wrist at all (I am 6'3 mind you), and while the band is not great, it is not as bad as some reviews claim. The build quality is also great on the watch. I have bumped the bezel on several door frames, but I have no scratches to show for it. The battery lasts quite a while on this watch when compared to most smartwatches out there. I can use it 3-4 days with only charging when I am in the shower. I would like to mention that if you want the battery to last longer, make sure you tell Android Wear which notifications you want to go through to the watch. If some game you play sends notifications you should probably turn it off to save battery life. Unfortunately the Huawei Health app is one of the worst fitness apps I have ever used. It tries to merge any steps taken with the phone with the steps taken from the watch so the phone always has more steps for me than the watch. Even when I have them together most of the day. The app on the phone will also show intensity minutes while the watch shows none. You also can't really interact with the graphs or data from your runs. If I want to see what my heart rate was at a given time of my run I can't. You also cannot track sleep with this device. There is a sleep function in the app, but it straight out tells you that it is for the Huawei Fit. To make it worse? The fitness data and fitness app looks better on the watch than it does the phone! How does that make it to the final product?? When you include things like VO2 max and work with FirstBeat to get the same algorithms that Garmin uses for Training Effect and recovery time, people will expect more from the fitness aspect of this watch. I had extremely high hopes for this watch, but I am going to have to return it because the software is just so bad.

Posted .Dear customer,
Thank you for your feedback, we are always looking to improve our devices. You can be sure that we will take it in count for future improvements.
Regarding the issue with the Huawei Health app, let us provide you the following information.
the size of your pace, or the position of your phone. If you have a large pace, the accuracy of the calculation will be higher than 90%. If you are walking very slowly or your phone is in a shock-resistant bag, then the accuracy will be lower. The technical department will continue to optimize the step count algorithm and this will be reflected in future software versions and products.
We really hope that you can give us a second chance in the near future. BG

Better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Smart Watch- after months of reviewing multiple devices I chose Huawei, and I don't believe I could have made a better choice. The Bluetooth and WiFi connection works quickly and flawlessly- I receive my notifications, texts and phone calls, and can reply by voice, or using the keyboard. Surprisingly the keyboard is very intuitive and utilizes Swype, keeping it fluid and snappy. The screen size is just fine for me, although for Next Gen models I would like to see a Slightly larger screen- however reading text and using the watch does not create strain on the eyes as I had originally feared. I took a phone call on the watch, and I could hear the other person clear as day, and the same on their end. The integrated Play Store is wonderful- I did not have the experience of Android Wear 1.5, but I am glad I chose to wait for the update. I have not utilized many of the Fitness apps just yet, but have noticed the step counter to be accurate. Hundreds of Watch Faces to choose from in the Play Store make this watch Fun and give great variety. I have become so used to having this watch on after only 2 weeks, that when it is charging- I am constantly looking at my wrist expecting it to be there. Battery life has been No issue for me, I notice with full usage I get about a full day of battery- but I have no problem putting it on the charger for an hour before bed, as it charges quickly. Overall I highly recommend this watch- there is a reason that Huawei stands at the top of the market.

Okay Watch for a While
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this watch on 7/21/17 - just under a year and a half ago. About a week ago, it started randomly resetting on me, and as of today (actually yesterday), it constantly resets. After doing a couple searches, I've learned this is a common problem with this watch, and it seems to happen at about the same length of time after purchase. That's not to say I hated the watch, I really did like it. I purchased it because it was more affordable than the Samsung watch, and it was also waterproof, where the Samsung was not. It was important that I not have to worry about taking a shower with it, or running around in a city where you have more rainy days than dry days. Although the watch seemed pretty basic for a smart watch, I could control my music with it, start and stop runkeeper, and preview messages. I think the idea of trying to type and communicate with it is kind of silly, as typing on a little watch face seems almost impossible, but I didn't purchase it to do that anyway. The negatives about it were that it needed to be charged a lot. I didn't install many apps, mainly the health apps, a sleep app, and runkeeper, but I still had to charge it almost every day and a half. That would mean I would be charging it when I got home from work, so then it wasn't tracking any of my movement anyway, or I'd charge it when I got to work, and same thing. I'd lose any tracking that I was trying to do with it. Though it lacked excitement, it still worked for all I needed to, and I just figured out how to work around the needing to charge it a lot. Now that it's not working, I'm probably going to have to buy a new watch. The price point of the Huawei is less than other brands on the market, but I won't buy another one, unless they somehow respond to my support e-mail and tell me they'll fix it under an extended warranty. If I buy another smart watch, I'll probably just suck it up and spend the extra money to get the Samsung, which is proven and I hope will last more than a year and a half.

Decent Watch But Returning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to give this watch a try as it was priced decently and I'm new to the game. However, after a day of ownership, I have decided to return and upgrade to the Samsung Gear S3. This watch will not stay paired with my iPhone. I've updated the watch and my iPhone with no success. Have deleted the watch from my iPhone's bluetooth and re-paired..nothing. It's very frustrating. I've had to restart the watch numerous times and finally ended up resetting it. I'd like a watch that would seamlessly stay connected to my iPhone without my having to do anything. This watch just doesn't cut the cake.
