In the current mainstream of predominantly radio-driven pop/country music, which is often full of cliched lyrics and homogeneous arrangements, Joey & Rory are a refreshing throwback to traditional country/bluegrass songwriting, delivered in a genuine, and often poignant, way. This collection of traditional hymns, reflective of their strong faith, only features a couple of their own heartfelt originals. But the "covers" are still delivered in the genuine and poignant way that are typical of Joey & Rory, including some surprises in tempo on a few numbers. The playing is top-knotch and the singing is emotive and edifying. Highly recommended.

The arrangements and country feel to theses hymns make them a blessing to the soul. A must for your collection!

This is a great album which is most likely the last album from this great singing couple.

I got this CD for my wife and she plays it frequently. The songs are beautifully presented, both vocally and instrumentally, and are made even more meaningful by the knowledge that Joey had cancer and went home to be with the God she was singing about soon thereafter. It provides very inspiring and uplifting music that will brighten your day!

This is one of the best old time hymn collections on one CD that I have ever found. Joey and Rory are great artists. This CD has not left my CD player since I bought it. I will probably start the CD playing again when I get home from work today. It is one of my favorite purchases from BEST BUY......

This album is uplifting and well done. The harmony is extremely appealing and I really enjoy the mix and presentation of these well known hymns. I think the choices are designed to leave the listener both hopeful and reassured of the future as a believer.

This is a beautiful album created by a singer that led an extraordinary life in the short time she was given. Joey's voice is pure and beautiful and even more special knowing these were handpicked by her as she was dying from cancer, what a gift she left us so we will always remember her.

Joey and Rory make great music. This album is beautifully made. The tracks are all lovely, just like Joeys angelic voice. My children always want to play the CD in the car and sing those hymns together. I recommend it to everyone.

Fell in love with Joey's singing when I saw them on TV. She really lived her faith through her love of gospel music. If you love Christian/Gospel music, you need to add this CD to your collection.

To watch them preform was inspiring. This CD brings back memories of watching them and listening to each word of their songs. Joey, you are missed. Our prays go out to Rory and their families.

I had never heard of them so I bought the CD after she passed away. It is an AWESOME CD. very moving songs and they sing so well together. Sad that she passed away so young.
