Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the HyperDrive 7-Port USB C Hub's numerous USB ports, ease of use, and compact size, finding it convenient for expanding their MacBook's connectivity. However, some customers express concerns regarding compatibility issues, the price point, connection stability, and the device's tendency to generate heat. The sleek design is frequently praised. Despite some drawbacks, many appreciate the added ports and user-friendliness.

I had originally purchased a similar product and returned it as it didn’t have as many options for devices that could be plugged in. I am very happy with my purchase. Felt it was a good price and quality!

Bought beautiful slate gray MacBook Pro and this adapter is a must have if you don't want to buy/change all your power cords, lucked out and it was on special $10 less than bland silver adapter.

A great hub for connecting devices to the new MacBook Pros. Handy to have all the connections in one place. The only downside is that the constantly changing connectors make this a necessity.

Loose fit - frustrating! More of a Mac issue

This is probably a complaint with Apple's MacBook Pro, this device works really well when it's pushed up against something to hold it in. I have a late 2016 MBPro and it falls out if I even look at it funny. Apple should fix this fitting issue, as these ports get used they lose connection with this and other USB-C devices.

nobody has USB-c gear yet, so of course apple leads the way and makes you buy additional hardware. This product does the trick and allows you to continue using all your legacy attachments and gear

I needed to connect a usb to my MacBook, and wasn’t sure how but when I found this product it was exactly what I needed. It comes with a leather cover thing, so that’s pretty cool.

Easy to use and has all the connectors you need but it's a little pricey. Best I've used regardless of price.

I thought it was lame that this was required after I already bought the laptop. But works as intended.

Pretty much everything on it works as expected, but the weakness of this hub is that it is extremely difficult to unplug things without accidentally disconnecting it from the computer. The USB A ports are tight, and it is easy to have something disconnect improperly while unplugging the USB A. I did replace this with an Anker hub because of this issue.

This is a good solution for legacy connections to the MBP. So far, seems very secure in its connection (no loose fit as mentioned in some reviews). Fast, stable connection to various media.

Great HyperDrive - USB Type-C Hub for Select Apple

So, far it is working great. The only issue I found is that I have to take off the bottom cover shell in order to get the HyperDrive - USB to plug into the ports. The cover shell is too bulky for it.

Apple is not making its MacBook laptops without any ports. I did not really notice until I got it home. This USB hub does the job. I have more than enough.

    Works, with some caveats

Works great and transfer speeds seem pretty solid, however, if you plan to use a protective case of any sort with your MacBook Pro, this is not the solution for you. The USB 3.0 / TB3 connectors are too short to work with a hard shell case and will only fit with vinyl wrap or naked setups. Wish they provided some sort of extension cables because I would have kept it otherwise.

I didn't realize the MacBook had USB-C and that I would have to have a hub or dongle. I like the hub because I can plug in several different items into it. Great product.

    Doesn't Last

I bought this brand new with a Macbook Pro on Novermber 6 2019 and on April 4 2020 it stopped working. I was using it lightly, maybe once or twice a month, only to power a fan that sat under the computer to cool it off. It still worked to charge my computer but the USB ports, SD ports, and HDMI ports all stopped working. So why continue to use it for charging? I ordered a replacement from another brand on Amazon. For the price of this thing, I am not impressed. It was $70 when I bought it ON SALE. You can't use it with a case either, so if you're someone who travels and doesn't want their computer to get scratched or dented while using this, don't waste your money and go with something else instead. The quality of the metal, portability, and ease for travel are honestly very good, but I'd rather have a cheap plastic product that works than an expensive aluminum product that doesn't.

Simply works for what it’s intended purpose. Just know if you have a case on your Mac, you may need to make some mods to it or take it off when using it.

Good (see ratings), however, design has 2 rigid connectors & thus may not be easy to use on future MacBooks. _ _ _ _ (Note: I recommend 1 thing per decade; this isn't that.)
