    This is a necessity for new MacBooks if you don't want to pay for all the extra options or want an Air. It is functional, small, and works amazing. Have one for my personal and one for my work Mac.

    Great design! Portable for travel and it connects everything well. It works way better than the J5, not sure why as they look and feel the same.

    I originally purchased the hyper drive and was unimpressed. It has to be plugged in pretty far in order for the light to come on when using the 2017 MacBook Pro model. Once I got it to work, it was great. It holds still and is an extension of the MacBook itself, but is out of the way enough to not be an eye sore. The only thing I don't like about the hyper drive is that it does not work if you have a case on your MacBook. I have to take the bottom part of the case off in order to plug in my phone or other devices. An alternative solution would be the usb-c adapter cable.

    overall great adapter that has all the ports I need that aren't on the new Mac! I do have to take off my plastic bottom case in order to use it so if this might bother you, if purchase an adapter that has a cord and allows you to keep case on

    This is needed to get any real use of out the new macbook pro. Build feels a bit thin and color isn't a perfect match but other than those two things its perfect with mico sd card slot and regualr sd card slot its very useful with gopro or drones.

    This little guy really restores a lot of functionality to the Macbook with most of the ports I need on the go. It is a must-have and stays with the machine at all times, and I like that the color matches so it looks natural.

    I have tried using an external dvd player via the usb port and it worked without any issues. However, when I unplug it, the hyper drive was partially pulled out. Worried that this type of behavior will reduce the lifespan of the hyper drive.
