You need this if you have a MacBook and if you want to plug in more than one thing. For example you may want to plug in power, an iPhone and an external hard drive at the same time.

It does allow many different connection types but my main problem is that the slightest bump causes it to disconnect. I have been using it with an external hard drive to back up my files. If I move anything on my desk, it disconnects and causes the backup disk to give the "disk was not properly ejected" warning and I have to jiggle it to get it to remount and start over.

Very Efficient and easy to carry It's not very durable though, but it'll get the job done.

It is a great addition to my MacBook Pro 13"! Adds the extra needed USB-C ports as those are still relevant in todays tech market. and gets rid of having to car a bunch on dongles.

Definitely must have one of these for tour Apple Laptop. Great addition, works great and it even comes with a little storage sleeve. I got it on sale so I’m satisfied with the price.

This adapter worked great for my 2017 15” MacBook Pro.

This is a great little addition if you purchase a MacBook. It has USB, HDMI, card slot...etc.

Despite saying it was compatible, the version i received was not compatible with my 13.3” MacBook Air. Apparently none of these devices work with the version of MacBook I’ve got, so... I’m stuck wishing thy made one for my model, the hdmi port would be so incredibly useful!

This device enabled me to utilize my computer better.

A bit pricy, but gets the job done really really well.

As may be known, there are only limited ports on a new MacBook Pro. If you want to connect different devices to your laptop, you can buy different dongles from Apple or others or get an all in one that will keep down on the spaghetti look. Although it works well, it may not be obvious that you need to plug in the power to the adapter on the port furthest from you whether you plug the adapter in on the left or right side. It seems to work with my 5k LG monitor via the thunderbolt connection to use the external monitor as well as power the laptop. There is no gigabit port. If you need to connect to the network with an ethernet cable, you will need an additional USB-C to Ethernet dongle.

Nice looking, works as advertised, but it will cover your headphone jack on one side. Not a huge deal. I'm sure if you can afford the 2500 dollar laptop that this works with I'm sure you can also afford some decent Bluetooth earbuds or headphones. Also be careful when disconnecting whatever you have plugged into it because it can pull the entire unit out. Which can be a potential problem if you are using a flash card or ssd when its plugged in.

Couldn’t get it to run in my MacBook Pro had to buy pieces separately either way good idea if it only worked

I can never state how useful this accessory is for the new MacBook Pro. It handles all the cards <memory> & cords <HDMI etc.,>. But be aware if you buy the hard shell protection, this accessory might not fit.

This is probably the best looking USB-C Hub there is. Ive been browsing around and searching for a hub that is seamless and attaches to the macbook pro, and this is by far the best.

Adds almost all the ports I need. Would like to have Ethernet, but that is a bigger more expensive model. Nice to know it works upside down on the right side as well as the left.

I'm using this with my new MacBook Pro and I really like that if you want to have everything plugged into a single device and then when I get to the office I simply plug the hyperdrive in. I was a bit surprised that it did not have mini display port, so I lost the ability to extend my desktop to two external monitors, but it still is an acceptable solution. Perhaps I will buy a second one for the right side and plug my other monitor into the HDMI port on the second device

Works very well but would not purchase this again as it does not work with my protective cover on
