Great adapter

I was worried at first because I had no idea how I was going to connect anything to my laptop until the sales associate at Best Buy showed me this. I was thrown off by the price but I have to say it was well worth the money. It connects easy to my laptop and anything I was to connect to it hasn’t failed me yet! I would definitely recommend getting one if you get a MacBook Air!

I imagine it’s inherent in the design given that it uses both ports on the MBP. Instantly disconnects. Not super stoked on how that is gonna shake out if I try my live DJ setup with that.

Without this handy device, a power cable uses one of the four ports and I need three adapter cables for such things as an external monitor (when teaching or at a conference), a printer, a flash drive, and a card reader. Oops! That's one too many connections for the standard four ports on the laptop itself. Adding this HyperDrive lets me connect all of that and more.
