Purchased this for a MacBook Pro, Has all of the ports I was looking for wish it had an additional HDMI out but its still worth the purchase compared to others.

great port to attach usbto a Macbook pro. it was a little bit on the expensive side but definitely made using my usb external drives very easy.

This unit is perfect to connect to any C-type device. It's power does allow smooth operation of the devices connected to the hyperdrive.

Purchased this multi-tool unit for Swiss-army style connectivity with my new iPad Pro. Sadly, while well built, this failed spectacularly on its first use while trying to run a Keynote talk through its HDMI port. Fortunately, someone had an Applie-branded lightning-HDMI adaptor and I was able to run the presentation through my iPhone. As a few other reviews have warned, for some reason these third party adaptors don’t work for all situations and with all devices. Too bad Apple doesn’t make a similar unit, but if you are serious about functionality, buy yourself a genuine Apple dongle.
