Might not work on a Dell 2-in-1 XPS

For some reason the hub would not turn on consistently. Had to reboot the XPS multiple times to power the hub. After exchanging the first one to see if there was a defect, the same thing happened with the second one. Maybe it is a compatibility issue with the Dell.

Runs too hot, stopped working almost immediately

I had it hooked up to my macbook pro that I recently got and it crapped out after about 20 minutes and would not turn back on. Terrible for the amount of money this product costs.

It worked the first day and later stopped charging the computer. Did not work for what I needed it.

Now it no longer works. It's outside the return period so I have no recourse. I do not recommend it for purchase as it's an expensive item and it should not fail after such a short period of time. It should not be called the "HyperDrive Ultimate." It is definitely NOT "ultimate." I normally buy a warranty and Best Buy didn't offer one. For future, I won't buy products from Best Buy if they don't offer a warranty. If Best Buy won't stand behind the product, I believe that says a lot.
