This is actually a benefit for a deep massage. It charges rather quickly and the handle has cool lighting confirming that it is charging. I walk, run and bike a lot and frequently have muscle soreness. I like to use it in combination with a heat press and it really loosens up any tightness. The low setting is a relaxing pulsating massage and on high it really provides penetrating vibrations. If you travel a lot there is also an optional carry case that can be purchased. I plan to get it so I can always have this with me on my outdoor adventures.

The Hyperice App that it goes with was what drew me to this purchase--I now feel comfortable with how to use it for different body parts with their routines there.

I purchased a Hypervolt 2 Pro in October and within two weeks it started turning off intermittently. I got a replacement in November and within two weeks the replacement started also turning off. It seems to be a problem with the battery not being properly seated. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. I have now replaced it with a Hypervolt 2.
