I was nervous about using one of these for some weird reason but after 2 weeks of treatment I honestly can’t imagine living without it. Every day after work I look forward to using this device. I’m on my feet 10 hours a day walking 7+ miles and this is a godsend for achy feet and legs. Has 5 different massage heads and three different speeds which pretty much guarantees every muscle group gets worked. A few minor complaints, the handle is large and takes some time to get used to it’s size (it’s where the battery is at) and it (handle) could be longer to help work back muscles. Massager does have a BT connection but I don’t really use it nor do I use the companion app as it’s not something I like or will use regularly. The massager works just fine without connecting it to a device. All is all a great percussion massager that delivers on muscle/soreness relief.

Purchased a little over a year ago and now it won’t charge. Will reach out to Hyperice. I’ve purchased other items from them directly which are amazing. But sad, for the price and options, this will not charge anymore.

We’ve all experienced muscle pain at some point in our lives. Whether it’s from pulling a muscle, a long day of manual labor, standing on your feet all day, sitting at a computer typing for several hours, or sleeping in a wrong position. Pain is pain. Adding to the exhaustion of the pain is trying to relieve it or finding someone to dedicate their time to attempt to relieve the pain. Sometimes, even with the best efforts, a simple shoulder rub can be tiresome for the person who is trying to alleviate your burden. The Hypervolt Percussion Massage Device will answer your desperate pleas for relief. I deal with sporadic pain in my arms due to surgeries. The pain has something to do with scar tissue beneath the surface. When the pain flares up, it’s intense, to say the least. Sure, I attempt to rub the area in question but it just doesn’t relieve anything and makes my other hand tired. Sure, you can try to ask your significant other to massage the problem area(s) but sometimes they just don’t get the spot or when they do, their hands become tired just when you’re feeling the relief. The Hypervolt eliminates those issues. The device is wireless which means there are no wires to wrap your foot around or worry if the cable is going to stretch across the room. There are three easily adjustable speeds that can be changed with the simple press of your thumb. The LED light display lets the user know the speed number and also displays if the device requires charging. Five attachments come with the Hypervolt. All are easy to change out. Just pull and it’s removed. Grab the attachment you desire and simply push it in. The attachments are: Fork- for long muscles. Flat- for large muscles (back/chest areas). Ball- sore muscles. Bullet- trigger points. Cushion- wrists, knees, and around the neck. When it comes to your hands, arms, knees, and some of your neck area, you will be able to use the device and alleviate the soreness. But where the Hypervolt benefits everyone is for the partner or friend that now doesn’t have to strain themselves rubbing your shoulders. All they have to do now is hold the device with the proper attachment and hold accordingly. It’s minimal effort that benefits both parties. Instead of a mere five-minute shoulder rub that starts weakening at the three-minute mark, you can have a longer session that isn’t putting a strain on anyone’s hands and wrists. It’s a win/win. The Hypervolt is relatively quiet. It’s more of a loud purr if I were to accurately describe it. Here’s another example of how the device came to the rescue just last night. Sometimes, when I have a nightmare, I kick myself awake, and upon me kicking, I will sometimes yank a calf muscle. Let me tell you, that’s a pain you don’t want first thing in the morning. I immediately used the Hypervolt and that knot in my calf melted away as if it had never existed at all. This device has so many uses for a variety of people. Physical therapists, personal masseuses, athletes, and people who just deal with muscle aches and pains in general. It just works. If you want a more detailed experience with the Hypervolt then you can connect it to Apple Health. Some programs can be personalized for warmups and recovery. The app monitors your progress. You can also operate the device from the app. And I would be amiss if I didn’t mention how much my two cats LOVE the Hypervolt. Whenever they hear the loud purr of the device, the two of them come marching into the room with their backs arched, waiting for their massage. They enjoy having their ‘stress’ melted away. The Hybervolt might not be the end all be all to your aches and pain but it will bring you the much-needed relief that you deserve. And at the end of the day, we all deserve to feel that relief.

    Cycling relief.

I cycle and was looking for a way to minimize the cramping I experience from longer rides. Usually my legs tend start locking up halfway through my century attempts. I would also experience severe muscle lock after a ride. Not so fun when you’re driving back home from a ride. I’ve been using this pre-ride to help loosen the muscles. I’ve also been using it post-ride. I’ve noticed that though I do still muscle soreness, it’s not nearly as bad as it used to be. I’m not able to get out and ride multiple times a week so getting in conditioning rides can be tough. As for the device. I like the Bluetooth connectivity and the routines it can run you through. Connecting to my fun was issue. The intensity levels seem about right. It would be nice if there were one lower level for just general massage use. The thing is super quiet though and that’s nice. Having to listen to a noisy device would be tiresome. Room for improvement would be the handle. It’s perpendicular to the massage head and it’s a thick handle. I wear an XL glove so I can handle the device without issue. However, I could see it being a challenge for someone with smaller hands, especially when it comes to doing muscle groups on the back side, upper or lower. I feel the handle could have been executed a little more ergonomically. Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re more than casual about physical activities. Otherwise you might just want to continue on with massage sticks, due to the cost.

    My Own Private Masseuse

I basically use this device on every muscle of my body. It's great for recovery after workouts and other strenuous activities. But I'm sure you've already read that elsewhere, so I'll point out a couple of areas that I think are somewhat unique to the way I use it: 1) Headaches - I get really bad headaches from staring at screens all day. I use the cushioned tip and massage both my temples and the nerves at the base of my neck and my headache goes away. Much preferable to popping Ibuprofen all day. 2) Lower back pain - I use the flat tip and really work my lower back muscles. A consistent regimen really keeps the stiffness away. 3) Foot Pain - My arches get really sore after running and playing basketball. I use the more pointed attachment and really work the arches and bottom of my foot. The next day, I'm pain free! 4) Sleeping - Just like after a massage, my body feels like jello after using this, and I can fall asleep in minutes at night. The one thing that annoys me about this device is that the app features only work with Apple devices? The manual only references the Apple app store, and I can't find any Hyperice App at the Play Store. I use Android, and I can't take full advantage of what it has to offer. I'm not sure why they wouldn't design something compatible with an OS that a majority of the population uses. I assume an app for Android is coming at some point? Oh yeah, another thing that annoys me is that my wife and kids all ways take it away from me and use it. I guess I might need another one!

Great on tight muscles, variety of attachments

Like many recreational runners with busy schedules, I’m not always as great as I should be about keeping my muscles loose and focusing on recovery. To that end, the Hypervolt percussion massager has been a fantastic help. It has three different speeds, a visual pressure sensor, and a variety of attachments that differ in their shape and level of flex. Altogether these features have allowed me to use the Hypervolt on a variety of muscle groups from feet and legs all the way up to my neck and shoulders. It’s been very effective at loosening up tight muscles, working out tough knots, and making me feel better rested and ready for my next run. I wasn’t entirely sure what Bluetooth connectivity would offer in a massager, but once I installed the companion app, I was able to select routines where the app remotely controls massager speed as the video guides me through the various movements. These routines focus on different areas of the body and offer introductory videos from various trainers. The massage gun itself is a bit hefty (which makes sense given the powerful motor and long-lasting battery life), but it’s not at all uncomfortable to use. In fact, the weight helps apply some light pressure without having to press down. Overall, I’m very happy with the Hypervolt. It offers powerful, effective massage to help recover and restore a variety of muscles.

The Hypervolt Plus by Hyperice is a premium handheld percussive massage device. If you have sore muscles from working out, overexertion at work, or even working around the yard, I would seriously consider this device. It even works great for a "just because I need to relax" massage. At it's core, it's a "T" shaped device that weighs about 2.5 pounds. It has a head with interchangeable massage tools that target different muscle groups. The operation of the device is pretty straightforward - you charge the device with the included charger, attach the desired massage head, turn the switch on the bottom "on", and finally tap the speed selector on the back of the massage gun. There's three intensities, low, medium, and high. I consider myself to be a pretty tough person, and most of the time the low intensity setting delivers more than enough percussion to provide relief to my muscles. Medium on most muscle groups is too intense, and I wasn't able to tolerate high for any length of time on any muscle group with any attached head. This might be different for those who are solid muscle, but I do consider myself to be fairly muscular. My wife stated that it was great at getting out some knots she had in her leg and glutes. Another comment is that the percussion on this is very strong at any intensity - extended use of the device made my hand a bit uncomfortable, but that is the nature of this device. The device itself comes in a fairly impressive package - including the massage gun itself, a small zipper case with the attachments, the charger, and a pamphlet holder about the size of a CD with a bunch of pamphlets within, including one that shows what muscle groups each tool head is designed to target - but strangely absent are overt operating instructions. This is where the app comes in. The app itself is simply OK. Finding operating instructions for the device required going a few menus deep, but to be honest you don't need a lot of operating instructions here. You turn it on and go. With that being said, the app does offer some massage routines and videos to show you how to perform these routines. I went through a couple of them, and though they were OK, I found myself more targeting muscles that I felt needed the attention at the time. The app does show some stats from Apple Health like steps, distance traveled throughout the day, and calories burned, but I'm not going to be using this app as a primary method of consuming that information. With that being said, the Bluetooth functionality on this device is really of limited use. It gets feedback on how long you've used the device, and the intensity can be adjusted by a preprogrammed routine or you can manually override it. In reality, with a device that has so few operational modes, I'd save the coin and opt for the model without Bluetooth. As of the feature set available right now, I don't see a whole lot of value in the Bluetooth functionality. If I had to ask for one improvement, it would be the inclusion of a travel case. Overall though - this device is definitely a win when it comes to massagers. Through the years I've had various devices that deliver some sort of massage experience, but nothing like this. I consider this to be more of a professional tool than a relaxation gimmick - though it does excel at relaxation as well!

As the title says, this hands down one of the best purchase I could’ve made. I originally went to the store to buy a dyson vacuum, I was feeling so sore after a work out from the previous day, so I decided to take a look at this product. Originally I wasn’t going to buy it but after thinking for a few seconds I went with the decision of buying it & Wow, after only using it for 10 minutes I noticed a huge difference. I felt more relieved and soreness went away. It has an excellent and easy app that anyone can easily use. You’re even able to connect your apple fitness to it so that way you can receive personalized recommendation after a work out. If price isn’t one of your concerns definitely buy this.

Massage gun itself is good. Constant battery problems have prevented us from using the Hypervolt regularly. Have contacted customer support multiple times, returned unit to be inspected, and also received replacement batteries. Batteries still quit working after short period of time. A very frustrating experience. Very expensive product that could work well, if Hyperice could provide batteries that were as good as the unit they power. Unless you are prepared to keep purchasing replacement batteries at $70/each, I would recommend buying the cheap knockoff versions of this massage gun, and just replacing whole thing as those quit working. Probably will cost you less money and be less frustrating.

Not a bad product when it works. A little over-priced which is understandable but product support is crap. Replacement batteries have been out of stock for over 6 months. Won't do what you bought it for without batteries - maybe the cheaper knockoffs have better batteries and support?
