A couple of years ago, my roommate, who's a massage therapist got the original Hypervolt to use as an extra perk for his clients and he'd bring it home and use it on my fiance' and I. Ever since then we've wanted one of our own. I have an office job that makes my shoulders and neck tense from stress, sitting and standing all day and this hypervolt helps loosen and make me a little less tense using it through out the day. I love the fact that it has bluetooth capability and an app now. The app is really well designed and thought-out. It makes anyone able to user the hypervolt, instead of just massage therapists or chiropractors. In the app, you can select routines you want to start or certain areas of your body you want to target. All you do is turn on the hypervolt, wait for it to connect to the app and the app walks you through whatever routine you picked, and the best part is it adjusts the settings for you throughout so you don't have to. So far I haven't had any problem connecting the device, using the app or using any of the attachments. It comes with 5 attachments, which of course have different use cases. I personally love how they have an attachment that helps with hand/forearm pain and a flatter attachment used for back, shoulders and neck. I guess it also helps that my roommate can help educate me as well with them. The only downfall is that the hypervolt doesn't come with a case to store everything in. I do think they sell a case separately though, but it's expensive just to store your device in. The packaging the device comes is durable and nice enough that it could do as storage. Speaking of packaging, excellent job there. I'm a sucker for good package and material design. Highly recommend for anyone! Perfect for athletes, office workers or anyone that carries a lot of stress throughout their body!

I am a low to moderately active person. I spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer and have developed neck pain from facing a poorly placed monitor. Hyperice’s Hypervolt Plus has provided some pain relief, especially in a time when I cannot get a professional therapeutic massage. This powerful percussion massage device provides a luxurious experience for any activity level whether it’s for self care or workout recovery. The Hypervolt Plus is a high quality product, and you can see that in the performance of the unit, the packaging, the reading material that comes with it, and the app it pairs with using Bluetooth. Battery life is great. Since I only use it for anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes a day, I only have to charge it maybe once a week. The included attachments fit neatly into the provided pouch. The Cushion attachment is my favorite. I was impressed with the quiet feature. It’s not silent, but it is not distracting or annoying. The Hypervolt Plus is advertised as “Quiet & Lightweight” and while it’s only 2.5 lbs, I did have some arm fatigue holding the unit up on my shoulders or back, especially when I was utilizing the app modules that last 20 or 30 minutes. Not a huge con, but something to consider when using it for an extended period of time. The Hyperice App is a nice perk of being a new user of the Hypervolt Plus. Bluetooth connection is straightforward and easy. The App has many routines for specific muscle groups, for recovery, for different activity levels, etc. I found some great routines for office dwellers like me and they’re all easy to follow. Two Cons for the App 1. During a routine, on Manual Intensity mode, I would like for the app to remember the level I was using. When it switches to the next section, if it’s on Manual, it starts in the Off mode. Whereas when it’s in the Auto mode, the app automatically sets the intensity and it switches between the three intensities throughout the routine. I prefer the Low intensity - I’m a small person and don’t need the power of the Medium or High intensity. It’s actually really cool that the app powers the Hypervolt Plus via Bluetooth, but it’s not ideal that the Manual mode starts over in the Off mode, not in the mode I selected to begin with. 2. During a routine, when switching to the next section, I would like to be prompted to change the attachment. I could click the menu to see what attachments I need, but I think it should be a little more obvious which attachment the routine is using especially considering that there is likely more than one attachment being used throughout the routine. Overall, the Hypervolt Plus offers a powerful but relaxing massage experience. The app provides great learning material and elevates the value proposition of Hyperice all together.

This is a very good massage gun. It may be to strong for some, but works well for me. The key is to use the correct attachment heads for the different areas of your body. Battery life is very long.
