Quiet, deep reaching massager
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second percussive massager and first Hypervolt. My first massager is manufactured by another popular brand endorsed by several well-known pro athletes. The biggest difference between the two is that the Hypervolt Plus is noticeably smaller and quieter. The Hypervolt is not only quieter but it sounds less like a jackhammer as well. The smaller size also applies to the attachments and makes the Hypervolt Plus lighter and easier to use solo. Everything ships nicely packaged but I was a little bummed out it didn’t include a carrying case like my other, less expensive massager. The attachments thankfully include a small case but it is too small to also fit the power adapter inside. The Hypervolt Plus is fairly intuitive and easy to use. The instructions aren’t the most thorough but I was able to get up and running within a few minutes. There are three adjustable massage speeds to choose from: low, medium and high. Most times, the low setting is sufficient for our needs. The device runs fairly quiet and the massage sensation feels very nice and relaxing. The different head attachments can work wonders depending upon the muscles being massaged. I definitely feel relief from muscle tightness and also feel improved circulation during and after use. I tend to cramp up frequently in my legs and calves and this has helped ease some of the tightness and alleviate some of the pain and cramping. My wife also likes the effects on a recently pulled muscle in her neck. The massage action of the Hypervolt Plus is noticeably more intense and deeper reaching than my other percussive massager. Just be sure to avoid bony areas and joints. The Hyperice iOS app was easy to setup and pair with the Hypervolt Plus. It requires a login which can be created for free. The app can integrate with Apple Health on the iPhone but the iPad does not support Apple Health. The Hyperice app consists of training routines; company and affiliates related news and events and panels with info for other Hyperice products including links to purchase. Although the app seems more useful for athletes and anyone primarily using the Hypervolt as part of a training regimen, casual users can find plenty of benefits as well. There are numerous routines for improving posture, relieving everyday muscle soreness and other non-training related routines. They sometimes require a little extra digging to find but are there. Routines for improving performance or recovery related to training are much more readily available and frequently suggested. There are even routines shared by professional athletes who use Hypervolt. Users can select routines by category (warm up, recovery and maintenance) or search for routines by selecting specific muscle groups from a human body diagram. The app is nice but obviously new and not without some cons. It’s useful for training suggestions and logging sessions but doesn’t really offer much beyond that. Despite specifying my device in the app, some of the routines displayed are for other Hyperice devices like the venom back and hypershere ball. I also noticed that bluetooth connectivity seems somewhat weak in the app even with the Hypervolt sitting right next to my iOS device. Lastly, if I use the Hypervolt outside of a specified training routine, nothing is logged, tracked or recorded. The Hypervolt Plus is a very good percussive massager and the true star of the show. Although the bluetooth companion app is somewhat limited in features and seems to be more useful for athletes and those who regularly train, it’s also suitable for more casual users looking for relief from stiff, achy, tight muscles. It’s also useful if just starting out with a percussive massager and looking for effective routines to begin. The best way to get the most out of the app is by being honest. If the most exercise you get is walking around the office, then select office work as the only frequent activity. Frequent is the key word. If you only hike once or twice a year, don’t select hiking. If you occasionally shoot a jumper in your driveway basketball rim, do not select basketball. Being honest if you have a low activity level will be way more beneficial in suggesting the appropriate routines and eliminating many of the less appropriate routines. There are quite a few routines suggested for improving posture, flexibility and mobility if only office work is selected as the frequent activity level. You can always change frequent activities later in your profile. And if any of those aforementioned activities are performed, warm-up and recovery routines can be individually searched for that specific instance as well.

So Strong
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must start with saying that this is a great massaging device. It's solid, but not too heavy. It's very intuitive and easy to use, and fairly quiet. I feel, though, that this device is too strong for me. I tried to compare the speed settings between the Hypervolt and this Hypervolt Plus, but I was not able to find any information. I would be very curious to compare the two in person. I am fairly slim, not muscular, and only do moderate workouts. I found the lowest setting on this device VERY strong. I don't ever see using the two higher settings. It makes me wonder if the less expensive Hypervolt is sufficient. I can see how the Plus version may be more useful for people who do intense workouts or lift weights. That being said, the lowest setting does feel good on your muscles. I found the app to be helpful with how to use the different attachments. Overall, this is a good device but the strength of it leaves me wondering if the regular Hypervolt model is good enough.

Great before and after workouts
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As part of the Best Buy Tech Insider program, I was given the Hypervolt Plus to try and review. I have started using the Hupervolt both before and after every workout. It has been a game changer. I feel nice and loose going into my workouts and after, I feel refreshed and ache free.

Wow, Knots be gone!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always problems with tense knots on my shoulders. The last time I braved myself to see a Chiropractor, he used a similar device on my shoulders. I'm certainly a novice. After my initial self treatment using Hypervolt, I felt sore but no more tense. By the next day, soreness is gone, and I feel great. It's well designed and ergonomics. I have short arms and I have no problem reaching my back! I went with the Pro version and given that I'm 5'3, it was way too overkill. Even at the lowest setting, it's plenty for me!

Hypervolt Plus
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying several allegedly great massagers (with limited performance), I purchased the Hypervolt Plus. The Hypervolt Plus is the best massager on the market. I highly recommend this massager to anyone seeking relief from a plethora (or minor) pain relief and conditioning before and after a workout. The only problem I am currently experiencing is with the Hyperice App. For example, while doing the Run Recovery, the session stopped after 25" into the program. This is happening with other programs also, I am sure that Hypervolt Technical experts will resolve this issue soonest. Hypervolt is a legitimate 5 Star Product!
