I really like these headphones! They are VERY comfortable, sound great, and fit my head well. I have a larger head so finding headphones that don’t pinch or hurt after an hour is tough. If you loved the first version like I did, these new iterations are better in nearly every way. They may not be the cheapest, but I think they’re worth their price.

The headset is great, the build is top quality, the comfort is amazing as always with cloud headsets, the new earpads are much better than the leatherette ones, the only thing that is lacking its volume, I have to crank the volume up all the way to 19/20, 20/20 to play competitive shooters on PC, that can be fixed with a firmware update, the sound aside from the lack of volume its amazing for hearing footsteps and locate enemies and hearing all sound effects from the game, pretty happy with my purchase, I hope they finish the Ngenuity software soon to unlock the full potential of the headset.

I have been a lifelong HyperX fan, and was very excited to upgrade to these from my several year old Cloud Flight S. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed once I received them. First, I’ll talk about the positives: The headset itself seems great, build quality is solid, it’s comfy, and overall I liked the look. Physically, it’s what I’d expect from a headset of this cost. Now for the negatives: In my opinion, a headset as expensive as this should be plug-and-play. That is not the case here. Yes, they “worked” straight out of the box, but the sound quality left much to be desired and the mic quality (according to friends in discord who had to listen to it) was substantially worse than my previous headset. I spent far too long playing with audio settings in an attempt to get the mic to sound better. The “HyperX NGENUITY” software for tweaking the headset and base is also extremely buggy. It continually prompted me to update the firmware, and no matter what I did this process would fail. I consider myself technically competent, but I never was able to get the mic quality to improve. By tweaking some EQ settings, I did get the sound quality to meet my expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this product in its current state. Maybe once the software issues are ironed out, it will reach its full potential.

Been gaming for 20+ years. This is the one. My favorite headset so far. Fantastic and LOUD audio in a rechargeable headset is rare, and pair that with a mic that doesn’t bleed over! I’m going to buy a second headset so I can ride this for years!

Headset is solid, much better than the alpha 3 I had before. The docking station it pointless though and software takes a bit to get used to.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless Gaming Headset has good sound quality and comfort, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work well with my computer. I experienced frequent connection issues and inconsistent performance when trying to use it on my PC. It connects easily to other devices like my PS5 and mobile via Bluetooth without much trouble, but if you’re planning to use it primarily with a computer, you might encounter some frustrating compatibility problems.
