However, I hear echoes while playing games on Xbox. Even if I unplug them and plug back in the echoes remain. Some of the players say that my microphone sounds defective as it breaks up intermittently. I called HyperX customer service and although they were polite they had no solution for the issue. Will most probably be taking these back and getting a set of wireless headphones.

Definitely recommend.

Nice for gaming but prefer wireless

Used the mic in game and didn't get any complaints about sound quality from others. Sounded quality was also good enough for gaming and listening to music casually.

Great sounding headphones

Only issue i had was with the splitter cable having problems on pc, may have been user or product problems. but the audio and and mic quality is great above it and a nice and comfortable fit even for my big head.

I got mine for 60 and it is the best headset I have purchased. Hyperx seems to have better build quality and sound than razer products at the same price point.
