Really professional quality sound and design. The best two things about it in my experience were --- the really comfy over ear cushions and feel, as well as the super long battery life. Also, the microphone is detachable ---- genius! It also these to also be used at the gym as over ear headphones as well. Also, the RGM panels are customizable, which I always find as the gamechanger because I can give it a unique look. I was also worried about the wireless range because in the past it has been very limited --- with these however, I can move about the room, even visit the restroom next door with little to no disruption on my game or comms.
The big winner for me is the battery life though! I only need to charge it like once every other week, and this is using it everyday!
There is also a usb-c dongle and usb-a adapter included which make it a true plug-n-play across whatever platforms it is being used for.
The adaptability, the customization options, the amazing comfort design, and the ease of use for these really make them a winner and worth the price tag.

This headset did not get very loud at max volume on PS5 (both system and headset volume all the way up), and the sound wasn't all that clear or great for COD (fps). I honestly did not like this headset much at all and could not continue testing it for very long after initial use. Comfort was ok, I guess.

TL:DR - the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless gaming headset is a solid option for those who want a good value when it comes to audio quality, features, and performance. Gaming performance is solid, music playback is really good for the price, audio quality is great, and customization using the HyperX Ngenuity software is easy to do. Those of you with newer computers and consoles will appreciate USB-C charging cable and USB-C connection on the wireless dongle. They're comfortable for longer listening sessions. The only thing I wish the headset had were folding ear cups, but that's a minor issue.
First impressions and unboxing - I'll be honest, the package made me think the quality of the headset was going to be lower tier than what it is. However, as soon as I opened the package, the impression quickly changed. Opening the box went to more of a "presentation" of the headset, with the instructions and other literature in a pocket on the upper flap of the box and the mic, dongle, and USB-C cable are under the cardboard at the bottom of the package. The near complete lack of packaging plastic was also a nice touch.
Setup and usage - You'll want to charge the headset before usage, of course. The dongle has USB-C connectivity and works with a huge range of devices - iPhone, Android, macOS, and SteamOS all worked perfectly with the USB-C dongle. Most consoles should work seamlessly with the USB dongle as well, and it does come with a USB A-to-C adapter for older systems and computers.
For Windows users, you'll want to download the Ngenuity software to get the most out of this headset. You can adjust the audio mode to cover modes from stereo audio to a virtualized 7.1.4 surround setup where every virtual audio channel can be adjusted manually. You're given different EQ setups from a basic 3-band to a fully adjustable parametric EQ with high-pass and low-pass filters.
Usage - First and foremost is audio quality. By default, response is relatively flat - no huge bass, no huge treble, strong vocals. The flat response works well for many games, making it easy to hear where enemies and squadmates are. However, for Windows users, the EQ settings can quickly inject chunky bass and super crispy treble if that's the audio that you prefer.
Bluetooth is also easy to use. Unlike most headsets gaming or otherwise, you have a physical switch to go from the wireless dongle to Bluetooth. For iOS users, Bluetooth connectivity supports AAC audio so the audio quality is pretty solid with a wireless collection.
One of the really neat features of the headset are the earcup covers. They can be removed and replaced easily thanks to magnets.
The boom mic is also optional. It's great when you're in a higher noise environment, and being able to run without it is terrific for when you're on the go. Using the dongle, the mic audio quality is solid. Over Bluetooth, it's decent.
Battery life really sticks out, too. I charged them and I'm still around half battery left after two days with constant usage.
My only disappointment is the ear cups don't fold in to be more compact for storage. If they did and it came with a case or a bag for storage, these would be the perfect headset for me.
For the price, you can't go wrong with the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 headset. Well done, HyperX.

HyperX impresses again

The Cloud Flight 2 is the second headset I've reviewed from HyperX and I believe the 4th accessory I've used of theirs overall. The first few HyperX accessories I used I came away surprised, and by now I can't say that I'm surprised anymore - they just make really good stuff. The Cloud Flight 2 is a very comfortable gaming headset with some thoughtful features included that make it a great choice for multi-platform gaming. The Cloud Flight 2 is advertised as having 100 hours of battery life, and I found that after about 4 days of using it for work and then gaming at night I only charged it because I felt like I should - and that was after it arrived at half charge.
#Unboxing and first impressions#
While the Cloud Flight 2 is neither an ultra-premium headset nor budget headset in terms of price, the packaging was nicely done and made this feel much nicer than budget headsets. There were no plastic inserts and a minimal amount of plastic stuck to the actual headset. HyperX seems to have figured out exactly what parts of the headset will rub on the packaging and only applied plastic film to those spots, which is amazing in my opinion. I especially liked that the box has a little pouch built into it for holding the manuals.
The Cloud Flight 2 is hopping on the new trend of offering replaceable magnetic plates on the ear cups. I was unable to find additional plates for sale just yet, but notably with this being an RGB headset there will be an extra element to these swappable plates in terms of colored lighting shining through.
#Using the Cloud Flight 2#
The Cloud Flight 2 was easy to set up on my PC and PS5. HyperX have included their 2.4Ghz dongle and made it USB-C native now with an included USB-A adapter for easy use with most PCs. The fact that it's USB-C natively means it's easy to stick into one of the front ports on my PS5 Pro. On PC, I already had Ngenuity installed which works well for the new headset, though the Beta version is really what you want thanks to the AI noise cancellation for the microphone in the new app. One thing I liked especially is that you can save a light profile to the headset, which in my case means turning the LEDs off entirely so they aren't shining away when I'm not gaming.
I got several compliments on the quality of the microphone with the Cloud Flight 2. The only thing I wish that it had was a way to do noise cancellation for the mic without using the Ngenuity software, but it's still a marked improvement over a budget headset. Listening sound quality for gaming and movies is fantastic, and the latest Ngenuity gives you options for up to 12 speaker virtual surround effects. For music, there's a bit of distortion at the lower frequencies that can be helped somewhat by the EQ settings in the Ngenuity app, but I left it as is since it has good bass for gaming.
The headset has a reasable number of controls via buttons and switches. You can fully detach the microphone, or mute it with a button press. The mic doesn't flip up at all (though it does bend and retain its shape well) - it just mutes via the button on the left earcup. The mic has an LED near the end that glows red to let you know you're on mute. There's also a switch to go back and forth between the dongle and bluetooth wireless.
#Final thoughts#
I really like the Cloud Flight 2. I'm particularly happy that HyperX have transitioned to a USB-C based dongle that's much easier to use with my PS5. I think this is a great step up from budget headsets, without getting into features that most gamers won't need like active noise cancellation. You can detach the mic from the headset and use it as standard bluetooth headphones while on the go - while still being able to take calls thanks to the internal mic on the headset. Overall, this is a very good value for a headset that performs very well.

Solid Choice for both Gaming and Entertainment

The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a solid choice for a gaming and general-use headset. It is intended to be used with PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Mobile, and Bluetooth. The RF dongle is USB-C, but comes with a USB-A adapter. The headphones also charge via USB-C (with included cable).
The unit includes bluetooth and can by synced to a great variety of sources via that option. Everything worked immediately as expected using both bluetooth and RF connections. There is a sliding switch on the right headphone enabling you to switch between either mode. The first time you choose the bluetooth option it comes up ready to pair. After that, you need to press and hold both the power and multifunction buttons to enter pairing mode. Personally, I wish there were a dedicated button for bluetooth pairing (a minor issue). The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 includes RGB lights on the outside of the headphones which can be customized as desired. They include covers with a stylized HX showing the color beneath - or you can easily remove the covers to reveal a large RGB light in whatever color you choose. Thankfully, since I’m not one who thinks of my headphones as a fashion statement, you can simply switch the lights off (which will also increase battery life).
So what do I think so far?
The sound is great and the spatial placing of audio while gaming is excellent. The comfort factor grew on me. The HyperX has a slight slant to the phones in relation to the headband (which is made of rigid steel). This took a little time to get used to, but afterwards was unnoticeable. They are slightly heavier than other similar headsets I’ve used, probably due to the steel in the headband and the lights on the phones. Though the steel gives a feeling of strength, I’d probably trade that for durable plastic if given the choice. As with any full-function headphones, it takes awhile to get used to where the buttons and controls are so that you can use them without taking the headset off. That’s normal.
I also like the multi functionality of these phones so I can use them for entertainment and listening - as well as for gaming. The HyperX comes with both an attachable mic for gaming and a built-in mic as well (phone calls?). You can easily switch between RF and Bluetooth modes. Nice.
The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a solid choice for both gaming and entertainment.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headset is a fantastic option for an everyday, easy listening, "everything" headphone.
I found the headset to be fairly comfortable and only experienced a mild hotshot after extended usage sessions. I do have a slightly larger than average head so this may not be an issue for most people or younger users. The earcups are large enough fully surround my ears and the cushions are plush and comfortable.
I appreciate the option of using the included boom mic or going for a sleaker package and opting for the built-in mic. Both options sound surprisingly good with the boom mic offer noticeably better voice isolation.
The sound signature of this headset definitely leans towards bass heavy. While the bass and lower mids are more prevalent they are not muddy or overbearing. For music this adds a fullness to the bottom end and does leave a bit to be desired in the details of the treble region. That said, it makes them extremely easy to listen to for extended periods without hearing fatigue and fun for songs that feature a lot of bass. For gaming, this makes for a very enveloping and immersive soundscape best suited for adventure or story driven games. They are very usable for FPS but due to the rolled off treble, footsteps are not as forward as most would like.
Both Bluetooth and wireless modes have great connectivity and neither has any lip sync issues while watching videos. Using the included USB C dongle definitely cuts down on latency and offers a higher fidelity overall.
If you're looking for one headset to do everything this could be a great pick. Bluetooth and removed mic for your phone on the go or 2.4/USB with a boom mic for gaming sessions when needed.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 hits all the marks for a great wireless gaming headset and the comfort definitely stands out. The ear cushions feel soft, the clamp pressure is light, and the headset stays comfortable even during long sessions. It’s the kind of fit you forget you’re wearing.
Sound quality is excellent for both gaming and everyday use. The audio is clean and well-balanced, with enough low-end to add impact without muddying the mids or highs. Directional cues in games come through clearly, which helps with immersion and awareness. The mic quality is solid too. Voice chat sounds clear and natural, without the muffled or compressed tone that some wireless headsets struggle with. Most importantly my friends on don't complain about my voice quality on Discord.
Battery life is one of the biggest strengths. The Cloud Flight 2 easily lasts through multiple gaming sessions without needing to recharge, so you can go days before thinking about plugging it in. Wireless performance stays stable, with no noticeable lag or dropouts.
If you want a headset that’s comfortable, sounds great, and keeps going for the long haul, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 is an easy recommendation.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless gaming headphones are a solid entry level gaming headphone set that will not break the bank. Not only do they produce good sound, they include most of the premium features you will see in some of the high end products from other brands. I’ll go over all this in this review.
First off, the headphones feel substantial. No overuse of plastic and cheap parts. They adjusted to my big head well and they are comfortable over my ears without being too tight. I feel like they use some sort of memory foam as the cups mold to my head well. When trying them out, at one point I wore them for about 90 minutes and I had zero issues.
The cups boast 50mm drivers that put out sound with depth. I’m not an audiophile, but they sound excellent. From the bass to the highs, I didn’t experience any issues with distortion.
The headphones connect via Bluetooth just like anything else, or you can use the 2.4 GHz wireless option. It also works directly either Omen gaming laptops with no additional dongle required.
Of course you have to consider the mic options for the headset right? You can go bare with the internal mic integrated into the headphones. It works well and for basic conversations. I feel it fits the mold. But I. The heat of battle you can use the detachable mic and it’s way more sensitive and precise. Toggling between the two mics gives you an audible notification, which is is also seen via the LED indicator.
This headset is not limited to one platform. Often times you look and headphones and you have to pick between which set fits the gaming system you play. Here it’s cross compatible and you don’t have to worry about that.
So what about battery life? Try 100 hours. Since we only get 24 hours in a day I think we are set on that point right? Plenty of time to play and you won’t have to charge that often. Win win.
At the end of the day, you get a lot of bang for your buck here and I’d highly recommend these to anyone looking as a solid entry level headset. They perform far above my expectations and far beyond what I thought I’d get at the price point. I highly recommend these headphones, and I thank you for taking the time to read this review. Hope it helped you with your decision.

From PC and PlayStation to Nintendo Switch, Mac, mobile devices, and Bluetooth-enabled systems, this headset delivers seamless compatibility without compromising audio quality.
Comfort is one of its strongest advantages. The lightweight design, plush memory foam ear cushions, and adjustable headband make it ideal for long gaming sessions or extended work calls. Even after hours of use, the headset remains comfortable and secure, which is a major advantage for competitive gamers and multitaskers alike.
Audio performance is crisp and immersive. The sound profile provides clear highs, balanced mids, and satisfying bass, making it easy to pick up subtle in-game details such as footsteps and environmental cues. Voice clarity is equally impressive, with a detachable noise-reducing microphone that ensures clean communication during online play and virtual meetings.
Battery life is another standout feature. With extended wireless playtime on a single charge, the Cloud Flight 2 minimizes interruptions and keeps you focused on what matters. The stable wireless connection and intuitive onboard controls further enhance the user experience, allowing quick adjustments without breaking immersion.

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headset feels like a solid step forward from the original, but it’s not just a “slap a 2 on the box” kind of refresh. First thing I noticed: comfort. The earcups are plush without being sweaty, and the clamping force is balanced enough that I can wear them through a long PC session or a late-night PS run without feeling like my head’s in a vice. Sound-wise, it’s tuned for gaming—bass has punch without drowning out mids, and directional audio is clear enough that I can pick out footsteps in shooters without cranking the volume. The detachable mic is serviceable, not studio-grade, but it gets the job done for party chat and Discord without distortion.
Battery life is where HyperX flexes. I’m consistently getting close to the advertised 100 hours, which means I’m charging this thing way less than my other wireless gear. The 2.4GHz connection is rock solid—no random dropouts, no lag spikes. On PC, the NGENUITY beta software adds some customization, but it’s still rough around the edges. EQ presets are fine, but the interface feels half-baked, like HyperX is still figuring out how much control they want to give users. I’d love to see more granular options, especially for mic monitoring and per-game profiles. On PlayStation, you don’t get that software layer, but the headset still performs consistently—plug in the dongle and you’re good to go.
Overall, the Cloud Flight 2 nails the essentials: comfort, battery, and reliable wireless. It’s not trying to be a flashy RGB monster or an audiophile’s dream—it’s a dependable daily driver. For me, it’s the kind of headset I can trust to just work, whether I’m grinding ranked matches on PC or kicking back with a PS campaign. If HyperX tightens up NGENUITY, this headset could easily move from “great” to “must-have."

I must say that the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset made one heck of a Christmas gift! It paired well with anything we threw at it, although it's primary use will be with an Android phone.
The headset itself feels very comfortable on the head, leaving me with no concerns of it being worn for several hours at a time. I actually considered grabbing a second one to use in my work from home call center job.
The audio into the speakers is about the same with Bluetooth and USB connections. Wired is still the best, but the freedom to move around certainly takes precedence here. Input levels were received well from people on the other end of the chats. Praise at the fidelity of the speech was a common theme.
I rather like the design itself. Nothing really sticking out to get caught on things. I've had it before where a volume knob is in a poorly designed location and you catch it on something turning your head.
As always, I'm comfortable with the HyperX brand. I know that if I run into issues, I can reach out and get it fixed.

The holidays are just around the corner. Don't get caught without a gift for the gamer in your family.
The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a great gift idea for your child. For the price point, you get really good audio quality. As for the microphone, I used the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset with my PS5 and no one complained about not being able to hear what I said during online play.
The HyperX headset is comfortable around my ears and very lightweight. The ear pads are pretty soft and tolerable for long gaming sessions.
Another great feature for a pretty decent price point is the RGB lighting. The lighting is easily customizable so that you, or your little gamer, can match the layout of their room/environment.
As for the battery life, you can't really expect the advertised 100 hours because that is most likely done in drastically different, and conservative, settings. I was able to get about three or so days of game-play at around five hours per day. But of course I had the lights and all of the bells and whistles going on.
Overall, the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset makes for a great gift this holiday season.

The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Mobil right out of the box has the appearance of a winner. They look well constructed mostly of a totally plastic design with an adjustable metal headband. The weight is extremely light, which allows me to keep the headset on for hours at a time. The soft earpads are huge and plump material made from memory foam. With the 50mm drivers, the Hyper X produces a full sound scenario when playing my video games. Sounds pick up so well enough that I become more immersed into the game. The headset can become extremely loud at full volume. The bass is decent and will not over power the lighter sounding effects. The magnetic ear cup plates are removable to display a RGB light show. Both earcups have control buttons for scroll wheel, USB/Bluetooth mode switch to change between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, mic, power, and functions. The headset has two microphones. A detachable and bendable boom mic and an internally built in microphone. I do not find any great discrepancy with using either one. The compatibility of the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Mobil makes it a great choice for a mid-priced headset.

I have had many, many, many sets of headphones through the years. I built my first PC when I was 12 years old (would have been approximately 1997) and I've been a PC gamer since then. But before that I was a console gamer. I had the original Playstation, the original Xbox, I had the Dreamcast, I had the Playstation 2, oh yeah, I even had the original Gameboy back in the day. On top of being a gamer I absolutely love listening to podcasts and to music too. So I am able to put headsets, controllers, etc. all through their paces fairly easily. Especially since I'm not the only gamer in the family. I have twin sons that are gamers as well as a significant other. I am happy to say that all of us really enjoyed using the HyperX Cloud Flight 2s for everything from music, to gaming, to podcasts, to movies.
Built Quality
We have had numerous HyperX products over the years, including other headsets if I'm not mistaken, and the build quality is what I have come to expect from HyperX. The headset isn't overly bulky, it doesn't weigh a lot, it also fit perfectly for all 4 of us in the family that used them. We were really impressed with them from the look, to the feel, to the fit & finish, it all comes together nicely.
Rating: 5/5
Gaming
We have a PS5, Nintendo Switch, and multiple PCs that we all game on. No matter what system, and what game we threw at it the Cloud Flight 2s ate it up. We have had headsets that were 2x and even 3x the cost of this headset and these outperformed them in 3 out of the 4 of us in the family. That's super impressive for such a competitively priced headset like the Cloud Flight 2s are. We put the headset through it's paces in racing games, basketball, baseball, FPS, RTS, and basically every other genre you could think of. In all of them they did exceptionally well!
Rating: 5/5
Music
In our family we like a range of music from classical, to rock, to pop, to rap, to hip-hop, to country, to christmas, to you name it and one of us probably likes it. So we too put the Cloud Flight 2s through its paces when it came to testing how it sounds with all the various music. Here again it did exceptionally well, especially for it's price point. The bass was there without sounding distorted. The music sounded crisp & clear without any distortion at all and without it being echo'ey, or flat. It was like amazing sounding to all 4 of us. Super impressed for this price point (I know I keep saying that but its what all 4 of us kept saying).
Rating: 5/5
Podcasts & Movies
I've found that for me this is what makes or breaks earbuds, headphones, etc. If a podcast or a movie doesn't sound good then I will simply not use them. But with the Cloud Flight 2s all 4 of us really liked how clear & crisp spoken words were on these headphones. It was like being in the studio with the podcasters. And for movies it was much the same thing: great sound, no distortion, and just perfect sounding for us. I couldn't have asked for a better headset, trully.
Rating: 5/5
Conclusion
So wrapping up the review, I'll say what I've been saying through the whole thing, throughout this whole review I've kept saying that for the price point these are great, and I truly mean that. Everyone enjoyed them. No one had a negative word to say about the headset at all. We've thought about replacing all of our headsets with these specific ones because we all liked them so much. And with Christmas coming up I just might do that for all of us!

I use these with my PS5 because none of my PS4 headsets are compatible. There are plenty of positive points to share about this headset, but if you’re like me and use your PS5 as your primary media console, there is one drawback that’s a bit of a deal breaker, so I’ll start with that.
The audio output on the PS5 stays set to this headset until you go into settings and change it to your soundbar or TV. It should switch automatically based on whether you have the headphones turned on, but it doesn’t. I’ve added and removed the headphones multiple times, ensured the PS5 settings were correct, turned everything on with the headphones on and turned everything on with the headphones off but the result is the same every time; the audio is going to the headset whether it’s on, off, in the same room, or even when the headset is completely dead. As long as the dongle is plugged into the PS5, the system is going to try and send the audio to the headset. That means I have to go into settings on the PS5 and change the audio output to soundbar every time I want to watch something. Or, if I finish watching a movie and decide to play a game, I have to go into settings and set the Audio output to headset.
On a positive note, these are good-looking headphones with a clean, modern design that complements the PS5. They feel like a premium product due to the materials and build quality. Their sound quality is good for gaming and as well as for movies and the directional nature of the audio provides a great level of immersion in your game; I found myself jumping from unexpected explosions in some cases. Another thing worth mentioning is the comfort level. The earcups have good padding and, when combined with similar padding on the headband, allow you to wear them for long periods without pressure points or getting hot. I didn’t get any comments from people in team chats about ambient sounds and never ran into any connection issues.
Overall, I’d say they’re great for someone who only uses their PS5 for gaming.

Honestly, the biggest flaw of this headset from my experience is just that I don't like how it feels to the touch. It's not that it feels delicate or low-quality, there's just something about the materials that I don't like as much as some of my other headsets. I did also have an issue with updating the firmware during the first use and kept having to constantly reboot the computer and restart the update and pick up where I left off, but I'm pretty sure this isn't even HyperX's fault and is probably something to do with ReWASD, which I use to make my old Stadia controller play nice with Xbox games. The third big nonissue with this headset is that it's really easy to make it sound bad by messing too much with audio software such as Dolby Atmos.
Overall, this is a pretty good headset. It has a reasonable amount of buttons on it for what it does, and after I figured out that ReWASD was messing with the drivers for this headset and fixing that I've had a relatively painless experience using it. The settings in the HyperX Ingenuity app are pretty barebones, but that's not a big deal. It's pretty plug-and-play with Bluetooth, as well - you don't need the Ingenuity app to use it with your phone (and in fact the app straight up won't detect the headset if you try). I really like the removable faceplates on the ear cups - there's a lot of potential for customization there. I haven't had any issues with the microphone not picking up my voice or struggling to find the correct angle for it. It sounds good when connected to my phone, and as long as I don't use something like Dolby Atmos on top of the built-in equalizer it sounds good on my computer as well. I haven't had any issues connecting it to my PS5 either. It's comfortable to wear and hasn't really caused any issues with hurting my head or ears. Overall, I like this headset and I'd definitely recommend it for someone who wants a flexible but mostly plug-and-play gaming headset.
