The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headset feels like a solid step forward from the original, but it’s not just a “slap a 2 on the box” kind of refresh. First thing I noticed: comfort. The earcups are plush without being sweaty, and the clamping force is balanced enough that I can wear them through a long PC session or a late-night PS run without feeling like my head’s in a vice. Sound-wise, it’s tuned for gaming—bass has punch without drowning out mids, and directional audio is clear enough that I can pick out footsteps in shooters without cranking the volume. The detachable mic is serviceable, not studio-grade, but it gets the job done for party chat and Discord without distortion. Battery life is where HyperX flexes. I’m consistently getting close to the advertised 100 hours, which means I’m charging this thing way less than my other wireless gear. The 2.4GHz connection is rock solid—no random dropouts, no lag spikes. On PC, the NGENUITY beta software adds some customization, but it’s still rough around the edges. EQ presets are fine, but the interface feels half-baked, like HyperX is still figuring out how much control they want to give users. I’d love to see more granular options, especially for mic monitoring and per-game profiles. On PlayStation, you don’t get that software layer, but the headset still performs consistently—plug in the dongle and you’re good to go. Overall, the Cloud Flight 2 nails the essentials: comfort, battery, and reliable wireless. It’s not trying to be a flashy RGB monster or an audiophile’s dream—it’s a dependable daily driver. For me, it’s the kind of headset I can trust to just work, whether I’m grinding ranked matches on PC or kicking back with a PS campaign. If HyperX tightens up NGENUITY, this headset could easily move from “great” to “must-have."

The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 hits all the marks for a great wireless gaming headset and the comfort definitely stands out. The ear cushions feel soft, the clamp pressure is light, and the headset stays comfortable even during long sessions. It’s the kind of fit you forget you’re wearing. Sound quality is excellent for both gaming and everyday use. The audio is clean and well-balanced, with enough low-end to add impact without muddying the mids or highs. Directional cues in games come through clearly, which helps with immersion and awareness. The mic quality is solid too. Voice chat sounds clear and natural, without the muffled or compressed tone that some wireless headsets struggle with. Most importantly my friends on don't complain about my voice quality on Discord. Battery life is one of the biggest strengths. The Cloud Flight 2 easily lasts through multiple gaming sessions without needing to recharge, so you can go days before thinking about plugging it in. Wireless performance stays stable, with no noticeable lag or dropouts. If you want a headset that’s comfortable, sounds great, and keeps going for the long haul, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 is an easy recommendation.

The holidays are just around the corner. Don't get caught without a gift for the gamer in your family. The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset is a great gift idea for your child. For the price point, you get really good audio quality. As for the microphone, I used the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset with my PS5 and no one complained about not being able to hear what I said during online play. The HyperX headset is comfortable around my ears and very lightweight. The ear pads are pretty soft and tolerable for long gaming sessions. Another great feature for a pretty decent price point is the RGB lighting. The lighting is easily customizable so that you, or your little gamer, can match the layout of their room/environment. As for the battery life, you can't really expect the advertised 100 hours because that is most likely done in drastically different, and conservative, settings. I was able to get about three or so days of game-play at around five hours per day. But of course I had the lights and all of the bells and whistles going on. Overall, the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset makes for a great gift this holiday season.

I must say that the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset made one heck of a Christmas gift! It paired well with anything we threw at it, although it's primary use will be with an Android phone. The headset itself feels very comfortable on the head, leaving me with no concerns of it being worn for several hours at a time. I actually considered grabbing a second one to use in my work from home call center job. The audio into the speakers is about the same with Bluetooth and USB connections. Wired is still the best, but the freedom to move around certainly takes precedence here. Input levels were received well from people on the other end of the chats. Praise at the fidelity of the speech was a common theme. I rather like the design itself. Nothing really sticking out to get caught on things. I've had it before where a volume knob is in a poorly designed location and you catch it on something turning your head. As always, I'm comfortable with the HyperX brand. I know that if I run into issues, I can reach out and get it fixed.

The HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Mobil right out of the box has the appearance of a winner. They look well constructed mostly of a totally plastic design with an adjustable metal headband. The weight is extremely light, which allows me to keep the headset on for hours at a time. The soft earpads are huge and plump material made from memory foam. With the 50mm drivers, the Hyper X produces a full sound scenario when playing my video games. Sounds pick up so well enough that I become more immersed into the game. The headset can become extremely loud at full volume. The bass is decent and will not over power the lighter sounding effects. The magnetic ear cup plates are removable to display a RGB light show. Both earcups have control buttons for scroll wheel, USB/Bluetooth mode switch to change between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, mic, power, and functions. The headset has two microphones. A detachable and bendable boom mic and an internally built in microphone. I do not find any great discrepancy with using either one. The compatibility of the HyperX - Cloud Flight 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Mobil makes it a great choice for a mid-priced headset.

I have had many, many, many sets of headphones through the years. I built my first PC when I was 12 years old (would have been approximately 1997) and I've been a PC gamer since then. But before that I was a console gamer. I had the original Playstation, the original Xbox, I had the Dreamcast, I had the Playstation 2, oh yeah, I even had the original Gameboy back in the day. On top of being a gamer I absolutely love listening to podcasts and to music too. So I am able to put headsets, controllers, etc. all through their paces fairly easily. Especially since I'm not the only gamer in the family. I have twin sons that are gamers as well as a significant other. I am happy to say that all of us really enjoyed using the HyperX Cloud Flight 2s for everything from music, to gaming, to podcasts, to movies. Built Quality We have had numerous HyperX products over the years, including other headsets if I'm not mistaken, and the build quality is what I have come to expect from HyperX. The headset isn't overly bulky, it doesn't weigh a lot, it also fit perfectly for all 4 of us in the family that used them. We were really impressed with them from the look, to the feel, to the fit & finish, it all comes together nicely. Rating: 5/5 Gaming We have a PS5, Nintendo Switch, and multiple PCs that we all game on. No matter what system, and what game we threw at it the Cloud Flight 2s ate it up. We have had headsets that were 2x and even 3x the cost of this headset and these outperformed them in 3 out of the 4 of us in the family. That's super impressive for such a competitively priced headset like the Cloud Flight 2s are. We put the headset through it's paces in racing games, basketball, baseball, FPS, RTS, and basically every other genre you could think of. In all of them they did exceptionally well! Rating: 5/5 Music In our family we like a range of music from classical, to rock, to pop, to rap, to hip-hop, to country, to christmas, to you name it and one of us probably likes it. So we too put the Cloud Flight 2s through its paces when it came to testing how it sounds with all the various music. Here again it did exceptionally well, especially for it's price point. The bass was there without sounding distorted. The music sounded crisp & clear without any distortion at all and without it being echo'ey, or flat. It was like amazing sounding to all 4 of us. Super impressed for this price point (I know I keep saying that but its what all 4 of us kept saying). Rating: 5/5 Podcasts & Movies I've found that for me this is what makes or breaks earbuds, headphones, etc. If a podcast or a movie doesn't sound good then I will simply not use them. But with the Cloud Flight 2s all 4 of us really liked how clear & crisp spoken words were on these headphones. It was like being in the studio with the podcasters. And for movies it was much the same thing: great sound, no distortion, and just perfect sounding for us. I couldn't have asked for a better headset, trully. Rating: 5/5 Conclusion So wrapping up the review, I'll say what I've been saying through the whole thing, throughout this whole review I've kept saying that for the price point these are great, and I truly mean that. Everyone enjoyed them. No one had a negative word to say about the headset at all. We've thought about replacing all of our headsets with these specific ones because we all liked them so much. And with Christmas coming up I just might do that for all of us! Overall Rating: 20/20

I use these with my PS5 because none of my PS4 headsets are compatible. There are plenty of positive points to share about this headset, but if you’re like me and use your PS5 as your primary media console, there is one drawback that’s a bit of a deal breaker, so I’ll start with that. The audio output on the PS5 stays set to this headset until you go into settings and change it to your soundbar or TV. It should switch automatically based on whether you have the headphones turned on, but it doesn’t. I’ve added and removed the headphones multiple times, ensured the PS5 settings were correct, turned everything on with the headphones on and turned everything on with the headphones off but the result is the same every time; the audio is going to the headset whether it’s on, off, in the same room, or even when the headset is completely dead. As long as the dongle is plugged into the PS5, the system is going to try and send the audio to the headset. That means I have to go into settings on the PS5 and change the audio output to soundbar every time I want to watch something. Or, if I finish watching a movie and decide to play a game, I have to go into settings and set the Audio output to headset. On a positive note, these are good-looking headphones with a clean, modern design that complements the PS5. They feel like a premium product due to the materials and build quality. Their sound quality is good for gaming and as well as for movies and the directional nature of the audio provides a great level of immersion in your game; I found myself jumping from unexpected explosions in some cases. Another thing worth mentioning is the comfort level. The earcups have good padding and, when combined with similar padding on the headband, allow you to wear them for long periods without pressure points or getting hot. I didn’t get any comments from people in team chats about ambient sounds and never ran into any connection issues. Overall, I’d say they’re great for someone who only uses their PS5 for gaming.

Honestly, the biggest flaw of this headset from my experience is just that I don't like how it feels to the touch. It's not that it feels delicate or low-quality, there's just something about the materials that I don't like as much as some of my other headsets. I did also have an issue with updating the firmware during the first use and kept having to constantly reboot the computer and restart the update and pick up where I left off, but I'm pretty sure this isn't even HyperX's fault and is probably something to do with ReWASD, which I use to make my old Stadia controller play nice with Xbox games. The third big nonissue with this headset is that it's really easy to make it sound bad by messing too much with audio software such as Dolby Atmos. Overall, this is a pretty good headset. It has a reasonable amount of buttons on it for what it does, and after I figured out that ReWASD was messing with the drivers for this headset and fixing that I've had a relatively painless experience using it. The settings in the HyperX Ingenuity app are pretty barebones, but that's not a big deal. It's pretty plug-and-play with Bluetooth, as well - you don't need the Ingenuity app to use it with your phone (and in fact the app straight up won't detect the headset if you try). I really like the removable faceplates on the ear cups - there's a lot of potential for customization there. I haven't had any issues with the microphone not picking up my voice or struggling to find the correct angle for it. It sounds good when connected to my phone, and as long as I don't use something like Dolby Atmos on top of the built-in equalizer it sounds good on my computer as well. I haven't had any issues connecting it to my PS5 either. It's comfortable to wear and hasn't really caused any issues with hurting my head or ears. Overall, I like this headset and I'd definitely recommend it for someone who wants a flexible but mostly plug-and-play gaming headset.

So far, I have been thoroughly enjoying my new HyperX Cloud Flight 2 headset. They are extremely comfortable and have great sound. Let me explain why. First, you can immediately tell that this headset is of very high quality. The frame is a nice rigid plastic that is durable. The mic is firm and stays put when you adjust it. The ear cushions are what I like the best. They are very soft and have plenty of cushion. My ears never get sore, despite several hours of gameplay. I feel that this headset fits me just right. The performance of this headset is where I feel these really shine. The audio is crystal clear when I am gaming. The sound is immersive and has great depth. When playing open world games, you can hear your surroundings and even other players approaching. When chatting you can hear orders clear as well, and they can hear your. I had zero issues with communication. I also listened to streaming music with these and I truly enjoyed the audio. I connected wireless to my PC and via the cable to a PS5. They are very easy to use and setup. They are pretty much plug and play. These are for both the avid gamer and casual player.
