Customers are saying

Customers regard the Cloud Flight Wireless Gaming Headset as having great sound quality and comfortable design, with many also praising its battery life and wireless functionality. However, some users experienced issues with the software, and a few found the price point to be a bit high for the features offered. While the headset's lightweight design is appreciated, some reported that the fit could be improved. Minor concerns were also raised regarding bass response and compatibility with certain devices.

    Great Product, Poor Service

I will give the product a Five Star just because it deserves it. HyperX has always had top notch quality products at affordable prices. I run this headset with a quadcast mic and I love the combination. The freedom of wireless is unmatched. Best Buy customer service needs to do better. The third party shipping app used in my order told me the item was expected next day, then updated the next morning to almost 3 weeks out. The Best Buy Order page reflected this. I called to find out the issue, and the agent told me, "there is nothing I can do because the order is being pulled. You can wait until you get the item, and then call back to ask for a refund". I ended up getting an email moments after that conversation telling me the item was out for delivery, though the date still showed the reflected change of almost 3 weeks out. Ultimately, I received the item that afternoon, and no harm was done other than getting my blood pressure up over poor service and shipping Practices.

    Easy of use. No software

Went through a couple of different gaming headsets over the past week. One by Razer, which although sounded fantastic, was doomed by it's inability to keep synced to the dongle. And one by Corsair which is paired to one of the worst pieces of software known to man, iCue. This headset is light, with comfortable pads and powerful sounding speakers. The best part is... no software! All you do is charge the headset for a few hours, plug in the dongle, turn it on and it works! No changing windows settings or messing with sloppy third party programs. It just works. The microphone sounds good. It's not a professional sounding microphone that the best streamers use, but it's clear and without delay. It also detached for when you just want to use the headphones for movies or music. Mind you, I've only been using these a day, but they've worked longer without issue than the two other headsets I mentioned earlier. And I will update this review if things change.

    Killer wireless headphones from HyperX

Sound is fantastic, very comfortable and snug. Mic quality is pretty good. I exchanged the RIG 800 wireless set for these after I heard these were announced. The only negative I can say about these is that if it bothers you to have your ear slightly touch the inside of the headphones then these might bother you. I think it is a little bit better than the Arctis 7 but it still touches. I absolutely give these a thumbs up though.

    Best Gaming Headset I've Tried

I'm your average white dude, professional, and really want to enjoy the little time I have gaming. I bought these because my PC is out of the way in the house, and I want really good 7.1 sound for FPS turned up really loud. They aren't heavy on my head, they are comfortable. The ear pieces are leatherette, and stay cool. The mic boom is nice and flexible. My friends say the sound is good on Discord from the mic. I tried the Steelseries, and Corsair, and returned them. Logitech is always good, but these are a step higher in my opinion. I'm really only leaving the review because I don't want anyone else to waste their time like I did with the competitors. Only 4 stars because I am rating on a 1 to 5 scale on any products available at Best Buy/what I use for work, and kind of considering there could be ANR like the Bose QC35 in this headset so I don't have to hear the AC or a fan running, or other noise. Just silence.

Great sounds quality and easy to set up and use. The mic input can get lose but otherwise a good deal for the cost.

The sound on this headset is good and the overall comfort is okay. If you are like me, and get hot ears when gaming, then I would not recommend this headset because it can get hot when wearing them.

Coming from the Logitech G533 (which did not always work correctly, thus exchanged for this), this was a huge improvement. I found that The Logitech G533 was a disappointment after my first time wearing it. The sound and mic quality was not what I was hoping for, but in the Cloud Flights, they were much, much better. My friends tell me that I sound much better and less tinny than when I had my G533s. The sound quality is excellent for a wireless headset. Overall, I would recommend this headset over all the other competitors.

Great intro into the wireless arena

Over all these are a great headset, sound is crisp with execellent bass, material construction is top notch. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is the lack of ability to balance the chat and game sounds. I wear hearing aids and I have a hard time hearing some peoples voices over the noise of the game, I also don't like playing the sound through the AV system and chat only through the headset. When/if HyperX adds the balance ability to this headset I'll buy it again but I'm returning this headset until they do.

    Lasted 2 years the dead.

Stopped working after 2 years of light use. Most likely a dead battery. Would not buy HyperX again, as I have moved on to open back headphones with a standalone mic that sound far superior to gaming headsets.

    Comfortable headset

Pros comfortable Sounds great Wireless The biggest con is the low mic volume. I have it cranked on my ps4 and I sometimes have to repeat myself because my friends can't hear me or my words get cut off. This may be different for PC players though. I bought them on sale so it's not to bad but for 150$ retail I would look else where for PS4 players.

This headset is great and comfortable. I just wished it gave you more controls to adjust the volume to your preference like other headsets at this price range have. Volume didn’t go as loud as I liked neither.

I needed a wireless headset that I was going to use for work taking phone calls. The Bluetooth on my work PC did not work correctly and Bluetooth ones did not work. Plugged in the dongle and turned on the headset and bingo ready to take calls.

The headphones fit very nice and the mic quality is good, the problem is that the headphones arent surround, how am I supposed to hear footsteps in games when they all sound like they're coming from the same direction, these headphones are stereo not surround, which is why I give it a 3-star rating.

It worked good for a while, then the volume wheel stopped working correctly, it would immediately go all the way down by itself. Ended up getting a different headset and trashing this, after hyperx’s tech support was essentially useless

    After owning for 6 months...

I love everything about it! Sound is great and the wireless feature is the biggest selling point to me. However, the range has completely crapped out on me 6 months after buying it. I like to work on arts and crafts while my friends stream, but I'm chained to my desk like when I had my old headset, completely defeating the purpose of this purchase. I'm very sad because it's great otherwise.

Does not support Xbox as stated

The product is advertised as a headset that is compatible with xbox but it is not compatible with the usb dongle to transmit the digital audio. It came as a surprise because other headsets from other companies such as lucid sound have headsets with usb dongles that are compatible with xbox, pc and ps4. The mic also does not work with xbox in analogue mode which baffles me because even an ordinary pair of headphones with a built in microphone can still be used for chat and sound. These should be advertised as a pc and ps4 headset. It's extremely misleading to call these compatible with xbox.

Annoying crackling sound after some use

Worked fine for a year and a half but started doing some crackling noises that are extremely annoying.. read that this still occurs in the version 2 of this headphones. A firmware update did not resolve the issue. I’ll be tossing these out and buying some other brand.
