HOWEVER, the mic seems to have a lot of trouble picking up my voice. I've tried multiple fixes, but everyone I speak with using this headset has said I sound like I'm speaking to them from across the room rather than directly into the mic in front of my mouth.

I am very happy with these HyperX headphones, with only one minor complaint. The volume control on the headphones is very touchy. This means that, if I'm going to wear them around the house and listen to music or videos, I need to basically set the volume on the computer, rather than adjust using the dial on the headphones. Other than that issue, these are excellent headphones!

Add Dolby Atmos

However, if you use Windows 10 and purchase Dolby Atmos for Headphones, suddenly this headset becomes amazing. The only con is a somewhat short battery life. It'll be fine for most, but it can be annoying for the marathon gamer. That said, you get what you pay for.
