Okay sound out of the box, REALLY quiet Mic.

You have to install the NGENUITY software from their website to experience the "7.1 surround" The wireless range is probably about 15 ft open space. I was sold by the flip-up-to-mute microphone, however, the microphone is SUPER quiet, even after messing with windows settings. I have to repeat myself in voice chat and am constantly reminded "You sound really far away." The NGENUITY software has a Microphone slider, but maxed out, it made no difference. The headset also lacks Side-Tone (being able to hear yourself speak) which is a feature I particularly love to have in a headset, not that the mic picks up my voice anyway. I cannot recommend these for the price, and will be returning mine.

For the price, could have been better.

Great headphones

On the other side my mic volume is always low. I have this set all the way up in my settings on both my PC and PS4. I also have people tell me I am breaking up when talking a lot of the time.
