The quality of the sound is good. The setup is extremely easy. And Hyper X makes a great build quality. Now the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars. If your PC sits on the desk that the mic will be on, it will add a hum to the voice and sound. I’ve tried many things to correct this as I love Hyper X but nothing works other then buying a shock mount. The more expensive Quad cast comes with a shock mount out of the box. If your have the right setup this microphone would be great. For a smaller desk setup it has a few down falls.

Does everything it needs too. I like the mute button on the top of the mic. Helps when chatting with friends. My friends have no complaints on quality. This is a cheaper mic than most so you get what you pay for and with this one I wasn't expecting much and so I think it does the job for me well.

Good bang for your buck!

I used to have a Blue Yeti, yes the sound quality is better than the Solo Cast but for the price its not justifiable to buy the Blue Yeti, especially when the usb port breaks so easily on the Yeti.
