Q: Does this have volume/gain controls?
A: No. Not on the mic itself. It’s pretty much just a plug and play. It picks up a lot of background noise. I started streaming and got this. Had to get a dif mic that did have the gain control right on it. Though there are computer programs you can download to adjust settings for a microphone.
Q: Does it have a audio jack like for a headset
A: No the microphone does not have a 3.mm jack for audio, sorry for the inconvenience. Dearly,HyperX . P.S. You will be satisfied
Q: What is the diameter of the mic? I’m trying to find a shock mount to use with the boom arm.
A: I got a 43mm to 46mm one and it barely fits.
A: It picks up a pretty good amount of background noise but if you're using an app like discord with a noise suppression setting, it works really good.
Q: While streaming does it pick up keyboard audio and background noise like a fan?
A: I haven't experienced problems with fans but the mic will pick up keyboard clicks if close enough. Perhaps installing a noise reduction software will help with that.
A: It very easily could yes. You would go into your settings, click on devices, then on the right side it would say related settings, you would click on sound settings and choose the input device to be the microphone of your choice. Output - what you hear. Input - what they hear. Hope this helps!
A: It's USB powered, but the one I got didn't work so I don't know anything else...
A: The USB cord is about 4 feet long. Yes you can attach a shock mount! Any standard 4-5 cm diameter will work. I like it a lot! It's very clear but it also picks up a LOT of sound. I'd get an arm for things like streaming and i keep the sensitivity high on mine.
