Device does not support 24-bit, 96 kHz. It only supports 16 bit 48 kHz. The product manual says this in the specifications. Windows also reports it this way. They say you must update the firmware to get this capability. Before I get into that, let me advise that I think this firmware update only makes it output an "upscaled" signal from 16 bit, 48 kHz signal and thus you're only getting a fake sampling of 24 bit, 96 kHz. One should compare the waveform before and after the update and see if there is a real increase in resolution. That is if you can update the firmware: Their website directs you to download their ngenuity management software. This controls all their peripherals, so you don't need it if you don't have their RGB gadgets. If you dig through their website (after researching reddit, etc.), you'll eventually find a direct download link to the firmware. Won't detect the device. Not an isolated incident as you will find from your research. So you go ahead and install their ngenity software. It doesn't recognize the mic. Also not an isolated incident as you will see as of March 12, 2023. Do not buy this. Their support website tells you they no longer monitor email and to use social media. I don't use social media and am not making an account to tell them all of this. I'm going to return it and the retailer can deal with the loss. Their chat support is a bot. I'm not going to call them and become more frustrated since I bought a product that probably doesn't really sample at the advertised resolution. Otherwise, I'd expect their USB controller (what the firmware is actually updating) to already be sampling the ADC at the advertised resolution. It's trash to me with trash support, anyway.

It’s your typical mic and does the job. Picks up a lot of background noise but quality is clear.
