Customers are saying

Customers highly value the engaging gameplay, solid overall performance on the Nintendo Switch, and compelling story of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The variety of characters and the surprisingly large amount of content are also appreciated. Some customers have expressed concerns about the frame rate and the normal difficulty being too easy. A few customers mentioned that they miss the exploration and map design from the original Hyrule Warriors game.

I'm a newbie. I liked this game a lot because you get introduced to a whole lot of different characters you wouldn't normally be familiar with. The storyline moves pretty fast. I would set limits how long to play because it's hard to stop once you start playing.

Thought this was going to be like a smash bros. type of game but was pleasantly surprised to see it is more like Zelda. With it being 1 or 2 player someone can join in on heavy battles. My grandson and I have a blast.

It's a spinoff that doesn't feel like one. Any Warriors fan will likely enjoy this game, and most Zelda fans will too. I think the game is best enjoyed being played in increments as opposed to Breath of the Wild which I would get lost in for hours at a time.

Does a great job of adapting the Breath of the Wild version of Legend of Zelda into a horde enemy beat-em up. So if you like that art/story style, you'll appreciate this. Variety of characters keeps it from being too repetitive. Just a well done button-masher.

The game is beautiful and gives you everything you could want in a prequel to breath of the wild. The gameplay is different and you don’t get to have the open world experience but it’s amazing getting to see hyrule prior to the destruction seen in botw.

Loved the first Zelda fire emblem game, but this one is twice as good. You can chain so many combos together, & the combat is just so satisfying. It’s a nice change from all the RPGs I been playing lately & you can get super strategic if you want to.

Super fun game where you get to control link, zelda, and the rest of the hero's from botw before the events of the game. Overall, its still a "warriors" game so the gameplay is a little repetative, but it keeps going with an interesting story.

The newest game in the Warriors line. This story takes place before the events of Breath of the Wild. The new characters to be able to play as we're a breath of fresh air. The frame rate could be better, but hopefully they can patch some things to help that

Fun action packed and looks just like Breath of the Wild! I really enjoyed this game but I am also a huge fan of the Warriors series so I’m already a little biased. If you like to hack and slash and smash 100 enemies at once then you’ll love this game!!

I like it, as a huge Zelda fan I had to get. It’s not your traditional Zelda or even BOTW style game but instead a warriors game but it’s ok. I loved the fan service And is a quick and fun distraction for me to wait for BOTW 2 to come out.

This game is a really fun prequel of sorts to Breath of the Wild. The game play format is different, allowing you to play as many different characters, but players of the original BOTW will recognize the map, enemies, and storyline. Very enjoyable.

If you have passed Breath of the Wild Age of Calamity is a worthy sequel/prequel. I like that the game dynamics are much different but the game itself is so familiar. I still find it incredible that a handheld device can run this kind of game so well.

The first ever prequel to a Legend of Zelda game, Age of Calamity showcase the war that took place 100 years before Breath of the Wild. Fight waves of enemies as Link, Zelda, or any of the four champions as you seek to defend Hyrule from Calamity Ganon.

A grass cutting slasher that lives up to the expectation with a team of heroes to save not only the princess but the entire kingdom. Full of hearts and apples the adventure brings familiar faces with new twists and turns racing to beat time itself.

A lot better than the original Hyrule Warriors. The old one felt like it was just something that was put together last minute. This one feels a lot more polished and with a purpose. Glad to see finally what Happened 100 years before Breath of the Wild

Great game! I enjoyed it more than the original Hyrule Warriors. Has a more cohesive story, and more refined gameplay, music, and presentation. I happily 100%ed it. Just note it is not a classic Zelda game- the gameplay is completely different.

This game is so different from breath of the wild but I still love it. It’s really fun to play with all the different Characters. And with this story being a prequel to breath of the wild it’s awesome to play what you get to see in that game.

Not your typical zelda game but if loved dynasty warriors in the past, you'll love this game. Has gameplay elements very similar to dynasty warriors and just as fun! Would definitely recommend if you're into a quick pick up and play then put down!

Great game and my daughters love it. Quite different from core zelda games as this one is essentially a thumb masher but entertaining! Follows Breath of the Wild with the same characters and overworked map from that game. Definitely recommended!

Fun game, but know the style of game you are buting here. It's like Thr Definitive Edition and Fire Emblem Warriors. Hack and Slash goodness where you are blowing away the battlefield with an array of moves. If you're expecting Breath Of The Wild gameplay, youl will be disappointed.
