Not bad only thing is you don't play with link in this one so it feels weird but at the same time the game shows Zelda as the main character you play with.

This game is similar to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calmity in terms of game mechanics, with a few tweaks thrown in. The enemies are all from Tears of the Kingdom. If you like Warriors games, you will like this one.

Super fun entry for anyone who likes the other Hyrule Warriors games!! Not the same as BOTW/TOTK, though.

Zelda: Age of Imprisonment — Honest Review (5/10 O

Graphics: 5/10 The game can handle more enemies on screen, sure, but the graphics feel straight out of the Nintendo Switch 1 era. Nothing looks fresh or upgraded, and for a 2025 release at a $70 price tag, that’s disappointing. Gameplay: 5/10 The gameplay is boring and repetitive. It feels like a recycled formula with nothing new to keep you engaged. After a few hours, you’ve already seen everything the game has to offer. Character Progression: Useless The character levels do absolutely nothing. There are no real stat changes, no noticeable improvements—just empty numbers. It feels like wasted design space and pointless data. Weapon Upgrades: Not Good The weapon upgrade system is weak. They really dropped the ball here. If you accidentally delete a weapon’s special element, it’s gone forever. The replacement attribute isn’t worth it, and the whole system feels unfinished. Difficulty & Rewards: Pointless There’s no reward difference between easy and hard modes. So why bother struggling? You might as well play on easy and breeze through the story—and even the story isn’t that impressive. Price vs Value: Bad Deal For $70, this game doesn’t deliver. The graphics are outdated, the gameplay is bland, the systems are half-baked, and the story doesn’t save it. Would I recommend it? No. Save your money.

Best game in the Hyrule Warriors series! It’s a fast and fluid beat em up, only held back by it’s repetitive gameplay.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment for Nintendo Switch 2 is a decent Musou-style spin-off with some real pros and a few noticeable cons — and overall it lands in the “fun but a bit thin” category.
